Strategy and General Tips

Crown City is the final new location for the Planet Hulk season, and it is one that creates an interesting back and forth since it is a location that benefits the person winning. The benefit is pretty big as well with +4 power on the locations adjacent to it. In most cases, this will only amount to +4 onto another location, but this can easily be the difference between winning and losing.

These will often be higher stakes games, and that may mean that building around the location is not as strong as playing other decks that include Quake.

What usually ends up coming out on top for these types of locations, though, is just going tall. That guarantees the win, and then the supporting power makes the other lanes easier to win. This leads to Caiera strategies that focus on big 6-drops as another potentially strong direction. These styles of decks let you get your power down and protect it, and you can include Armor or Cosmo as another way to protect your power easily.

This deck looks to lock locations and take control of the Crown City location with your early 1-drops. You can shift the location with Quake if you fall behind, and you have Alioth to use as a checkmate if you are able to stay ahead. This also plays Armor and Cosmo, both of which are in an excellent spot in the current meta to disrupt your opponents while also being proactive. Destroyer can swing the lane as well, and the downside is mitigated by the rest of the deck.

There’s nothing fancy here, just a strong Shuri deck that can go tall on the location and copy power to another location by using Taskmaster. The buff just makes it more likely for you to win the second location, and you have Armor and Enchantress to gain some value against the other meta players right now.

Finishing out this week of simple but effective decks for this location is Quake and Storm, but this time without Professor X. You have more tools for shifting power on the final turns, and you can combine these with Quake to steal the early advantage from your opponents when they play onto the location. Alioth appears again to help you close the game out on Turn 6.

The Guardians cards are excellent with these locations, and so this deck has four of them supporting a Zoo shell. This gives you the ability to drop power on the final turn while using the Guardians to support winning Crown City. Storm is a potential consideration as well since you can use the Guardians to back up the Flooding location.
