Cards and Locations in Marvel Snap have various abilities and effects that make them unique. Below is a list of current abilities, example cards, cards that synergize with them, sample decks, and (if any) a more in-depth guide on the abilities.
When players play their cards on the battlefield each turn, the cards are considered revealed when they go from a face down position to a face up position. Many cards have their abilities triggered when they are revealed.
On Reveal: If your opponent played a card here this turn, draw a card from their deck.
In card games, cards with no abilities other than its raw stats are called “vanilla” creatures. Sometimes, they can make up for this by having a low cost or synergy with other cards. In Marvel Snap, these cards have a flavor text in its place.
Cards that are played on the battlefield can be removed from the board, usually via your other cards. Similar to the Discard cards, these cards can have a higher stat line to compensate for the drawback. Like Discard, cards that are destroyed can have great benefits.
In Marvel Snap, destroying your opponent’s cards can be a bit more specific and may also require you to destroy your own cards as well.
On Reveal: Destroy your other cards at this location.
