The Featured Location for the next 24 hours is Sanctuary II: Add a random Infinity Stone to your hand. This is a brand new Location added to the pool for Marvel Snap’s February 2024 Season, Black Order. For 24 hours, it also has a 50% chance of showing up in games.
The Infinity Stones:
Players who strategically build around the location or counter the decks that do so can have an advantage over their opponents! This also takes place at the same time as the week-long Valentine’s Day event, Power Couples! So, what will you play?
Strategy and General Tips
Sanctuary II is the first new location of the Black Order season and it’s a simple one – Add a random Infinity Stone to your hand. This has some excellent synergies as you are getting an additional Infinity Stone for your Thanos decks. However, this isn’t the only synergy, and potentially isn’t even the most exciting synergy!

Before we get to the Mad Titan himself, there is a new duo of cards which may be worth considering building into your decks during the location. Black Swan and Cull Obsidian compliment each other and can be used with several different 1-cost card packages and get extra value from the Infinity Stones (surprise surprise).
4 out of 6 Infinity Stones will represent a card draw as well as an effect and all of them can be great for 0 Energy. Playing these for 0 Energy on turn 4 alongside Cull Obsidian may form the backbone for this Hot Location period.

Of course, Thanos has to be considered. The Infinity Stones are built to synergize with these decks and rolling an extra one during the game, to help you continue to draw or cycle, is excellent. It is one more opportunity to have an early Infinity Stone which is one of the key ways these decks win games.
The more interesting direction may be to build for playing the Infinity Stone out just for the likely draw or effect value. Valkyrie decks have the most all round synergy with the Infinity Stones. With Space Stone and Soul Stone being excellent supporting pieces for the decks. They also simply want 1 drops, and another chance to draw one is welcomed.
The new eternal battle between owning and playing Caiera and playing Killmonger continues here. The obvious counter has an obvious defense. The defense being a Series 5 card means playing Killmonger if you are looking to counter these strategies is probably still correct, but be prepared for the plans to potentially be ruined by opposing Caiera.
Thanos
Thanos is an excellent deck already so anything which gives it support should make it the number 1 deck to try. This version includes one of the Power Couples, Vision and Scarlet Witch. These two cards support the basic Thanos archetype and add some extra power during this week’s event. Use the extra Infinity Stone to keep drawing cards and allow you to play big cards on curve every turn.
This version trades the big cards for the more “Zoo” synergy but maintains Lockjaw as its ability to cheat Energy is higher than any other card in Marvel Snap. We have plenty of ways here to get all the Infinity Stones played out and then use the board presence to win through Valkyrie, Blue Marvel and Ka-Zar. Of course, we also play Cull Obsidian.
Bounce
This Cull Obsidian deck will get extra support from the Infinity Stones and can even use the On Reveal ones as fuel for the Werewolf By Night. Playing Black Swan on turn 5 here enable some big final turns which can include Enchantress or Shang-Chi also.
Zabu on turn 2 and Black Swan on turn 5 can allow you to almost empty your hand along with playing Cull Obsidian and your choice of tech cards.
Zoo
For those without Thanos or wanting a diffrent pace, the Zoo style of deck can use the Infinity Stones effectively while also having decent plans to fill the board and flip lanes. Here we have Armor over Caiera so that we have a lower curve and can get more cards out onto the board.
As you are attacking all the lanes, your opponent will have to make the decisions. Your plan is to be wider than they are and try to flip a lane with Valkyrie. We even fit in another Power Couple with Captain America and Agent 13!
Series 2 and Below (pre-CL 474)
This Series 2 deck goes with Squirrel Girl for going wide and Iron Man + Onslaught for going tall. You are the aggressor with this deck, throwing cards out early and hoping to buff them higher than your opponent can handle later. Just drop stats and use Iron Man to surprise your opponent and go taller when it’s not expected!
