Tarantula has been out for a few days, let’s find out how the new card is performing and how the metagame has evolved so far!
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|

| Win with Spider-Man Brand New Day starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Spider-Man Brand New Day Performance

The best performing cards such as Cosmo or Shadow King rack up around 0.45 cubes per match while sporting a win rate around the 55% mark.
In comparison, Spider-Man Brand New Day doesn’t really feel like an A tier card. However, the example I used are flexible cards able to fit most decks. On the other hand, the current season pass is mostly tied to a specific archetype, and has to deal with Mercury as a result, a card currently in about 10% of decks in the Infinite rank.
Overall, Spider-Man Brand New Day is a powerful card in a powerful archetype, with the ability to serve as a standalone 1-costs outside of Move. Kraven, Silk and the rest of the backbone of most move decks are also posting strong results. However, there are other strong archetypes in Marvel Snap, and some might not have a card allowing to snap against them on turn three.

Tarantula Performance

Even if it doesn’t feel like a mandatory card with Iron Patriot and Askani’son already anchored as 2-cost cards in high power decks, Tarantula has looked pretty good since its release.
The card won’t change the way your play your deck, as the new 2-cost will typically be featured in lists with Hydra Bob or Martyr already included.
Overall, Tarantula simply increases your chances to find a solid 2-cost in time.

Post-OTA Bonus Challenge Decks
Both Tarantula and Spider-Man Brand New Day are associated with a specific synergy, but also are flexible enough to be slotted in other decks. This means we have plenty of list to complete our weekend missions this week. Indeed, the worst deck featured below sports a 55% win rate.
