Jeff the Baby Dolphin Performance

This season features plenty of cards rewarding us to build around the buff synergy, keeping Jeff the Baby Dolphin very popular overall. However, the numbers don’t back up this play rate. Indeed, the season pass card still does not feel like a mandatory card in most archetypes using it. Among those, Silver Surfer is the best performer, and probably the one most able to play without Jeff the Baby Dolphin.
The other issue Jeff the Baby Dolphin can’t fix is Shadow King. The 3-cost can be added to many archetypes, and often dismantles an entire location for a buff deck. The season pass card can move, but the card it buffed are all stacked in one spot.

Sub-Mariner Performance

Sub-Mariner joined the synergy it was obvious in : alongside Clea. Unfortunately, those decks were struggling to compete, and this new card doesn’t seem to be enough to solve that problem.
Two different lists are posting good results, giving us enough picks to complete this weekend’s missions. However, even if Sub-Mariner is posting strong numbers in the lower ranks, the infinite part of the ladder, which is fairly crowded with more than half the season behind us, shows a limited card.
