Today’s Marvel Snap Hot Location is The Nexus: Your Power here is granted to other locations as well. This is a Hot Location for Marvel Snap’s May 2023 season, Guardians’ Greatest Hits. For the next 24 hours, it will now have a 50% chance of showing up in games. Let’s find out what the best strategies, cards, and decks for the new meta!

Strategy and General Tips

The Nexus is a game-changing location that alters the rules of the game once it flips. As power is distributed to all three lanes, players must engage in an arms race for the location. However, placing too much power on The Nexus can be risky as it leaves other lanes vulnerable. Players must find the right balance and weigh the risks of placing cards on The Nexus.

The location is also highly susceptible to removal or interaction, resulting in flipped games. If a player goes all in on The Nexus and the location is turned off, they can lose significant amounts of cubes. This makes The Nexus unique in its ability to result in a large flip due to playing specific cards like Scarlet Witch, Storm, or Quake.

Players can steal games from their opponents by being disruptive and finding ways to prevent them from playing into The Nexus or turning it off at crucial moments. This incentive should encourage readers to consider being the villain when The Nexus is featured.

This deck relies heavily on The Nexus for ongoing combinations and is accessible due to its heavy reliance on lower Series cards. However, it can become telegraphed if the location doesn’t show up.

Klaw can be swapped out for more power or a card like Professor X to lockdown a lane. Nebula and Green Goblin are excellent additions to make the lane harder to play against.

The better option is to play a deck you can win with anyway with modifications for the location. Here we have Quake and Storm to shut The Nexus if necessary, Spider-Man and Professor X to lock it down, and the classic DoomWave finishers.

Nebula and Sunspot allow for power to build on The Nexus while planning for lockdown. Use Quake to ruin your opponent’s day.

Shuri decks have the ability to place absurd amounts of power on one location. Cosmo is highly recommended for this build.

Morbius and Apocalypse can be great ways to play large amounts of power onto one lane. This Series 2 build looks to stack both on The Nexus and use Cosmo to protect it. Discard cards can be played off the lane to buff Morbius and Apocalypse if possible.

Will finish with a deck from the latest OTA balance changes article. Doom Wave and The Collector combine to create a deck that builds large lanes while contesting other lanes. This proactive approach is well-suited for games with and without The Nexus and doesn’t require carrying too many tech cards.
