The only reason this is at the bottom of the list is that I just learned of it yesterday. At Kawa’s tournament this weekend, this went to the finals (and perhaps won), unseating a previously undefeated Lamby with excellent play. So why do I like it so much?

Well, first, this won’t be the only time Silver Surfer appears on the list. I’ll always have a soft spot for the card – it was my first real Season Pass card as a Series 3 player and one of my most consistent early climbers. In addition, Patriot and Mystique were early Series 3 opens, so I played a lot of that deck as I climbed through the ranks.

This deck takes advantage of something different. It’s all about Absorbing Man copying Brood or Mister Sinister. Brood is the better hit; going Forge -> Brood -> Absorbing Man leads to 15 Power in two lanes. That can be further pumped by Patriot and Silver Surfer, and it’s protected from Shadow King by Luke Cage. That makes it easy to fill lanes, too, so Dazzler is often a [3/8] or [3/10] card.

Dazzler and Shadow King are major draws to the deck for me. Both were considered terrible, and, honestly, before their buffs, they were. But now they are cards with homes, and Shadow King especially is an underrated game-winner.

Speaking of cards that everyone said would be bad, Legion has a real claim as my favorite card in Snap. I was one of the very few who talked him up before release, and he still blew away my expectations. There are so many fun things to do with the card, from locking an opponent out of a game to making all the locations give negative power when you have Luke Cage out and much, much more.

It’s early, but I really love this deck.

Sera was my first Infinite deck in Snap, but it wasn’t the version I wanted. It was a fine list, but with Crossbones, Shang-Chi, and Enchantress, it surely wasn’t a Miracle list. The beta style Miracle lists with Dracula were long gone by the time I had the cards, so it’s remained a dream deck that I could never play… until now.

Less, the original Toxic Sera creator, brought it back with this deck, taking a lot of the concepts from Dracula dump and turning them into a Miracle deck. This is easily my favorite home for Daken, as it uses him as a late-game power spike.

The idea here is to play a regular game on curve getting out Dracula and Sera. At that point, you spend the last turn dumping your hand, leaving only Magneto or The Infinaut in hand. Dracula discarding either is enough power, especially when combined with the growth of Daken, a Carnage and Bucky Barnes, and Colleen Wing to go over the top of opponents.

Also really fun in this deck? Lady Sif into Ghost Rider can be a huge power spike. Lady Sif can be played early, and then you would Ghost Rider if she hit Sera. But if she hit the 6-Cost cards, you can wait until the last turn since Zabu and Sera will make Ghost Rider a 2-Cost card on the last turn.

This deck is likely an amazing home for Silver Samurai, too, which is another exciting card that I fully expect to be great. If you haven’t yet, try this out. It takes some getting used to, but when you do, it can match up with anything.

SafetyBlade is a genius. He releases a deck and wins a crazy amount with it. I play it – it wins a crazy amount. Others start playing it and … usually, it ends up with a very good but not great Win Rate entirely founded on people being totally polarized in their skill with the deck. That happened with The Phoenix Force, and it appears to be happening again here.

This deck is a take on the recently successful Lamby Move Deck called Silky Smoove that uses Wave to control the end of the game. It uses a similar package to get early power (notably Kraven and Silk), but then adds a Control element to stop the opponent’s game plan with Armor and Spider-Ham.

If you can get ahead, Wave and another powerful card like Miles Morales or Jeff the Baby Land Shark on Turn 5 lead to easy wins with either a Turn 6 Aero to stop their one play or a Turn 6 Magneto to move all their cards to the wrong spot (i.e. math you can prepare for but the opponent cannot).

Move cards are just super fun. This adds a Control element, which is ultimately one of my favorite ways to play a card game. Out tempo-ing the opponent early and then controlling their late-game plays is a great way to win in Snap.

Fazzer is one of my favorite people in the game, and every once in a while he comes up with a completely busted brew. Well, here we go. This is the second Silver Surfer list I promised at the start of the article, and it feels completely busted. It’s probably the best list here overall, but there’s one I enjoy more.

Jean Grey was a super hyped card who was then considered a flop upon release. Well, Marvel Snap players aren’t known for their patience because this deck is built around Jean’s ability. After Jean Grey, you can use Cyclops to dominate a lane, Cosmo to stop the opponent’s effects (like Destroy!), or Brood to just fill the location and move on. You can also use Jeff the Baby Land Shark and a 3-Cost on Turn 5 to ignore the lane entirely and go wide elsewhere. This is especially powerful if the card is Wave because you leaves the opponent with only one card to play in one location, basically guaranteeing Evolved Hulk or Silver Surfer can win the game.

Leech is extra utility here – if your opponent has something that can mess you up (like Shang-Chi or Shadow King), they had better top deck it. Still, there are plenty of options for what to play in that spot; Absorbing Man is a personal favorite. Evolved Hulk and Silver Surfer seem to have counter synergy, but there is little reason why you can’t Silver Surfer on Turn 5 with a few 3-Cost cards out and go over the top with Evolved Hulk on Turn 6.

The plays are nearly infinite, and they all can win games if you choose the right ones.

Before we start, I have no idea if Magik is better than Crystal. Magik is better if your meta doesn’t have a lot of Legion.

This deck is silly and shouldn’t work. Everyone spent a month yelling at me that The Phoenix Force was a bad card, but I just think we built it wrong. Everyone was looking at it either as a total filler card (a Thanos list) or a huge game-winner. I don’t think it’s automatically either – it’s a good option to get power on the board, especially when you know your opponent’s deck.

If you have an opponent who isn’t playing Killmonger or Shang-Chi, you can get a four card win. Just destroy Human Torch, revive it with The Phoenix Force, move it twice, and then play Taskmaster. That’s 28 Power in two locations, same as playing a Shuri into Red Skull and Taskmaster (which you can also do). If Carnage is how you destroy Human Torch, the Magik version can make that two 56 Power cards, as can a Move location.

But most opponents have Shang-Chi, so you’re often better off moving around a Multiple Man Phoenix. If you get that going on Turn 4, you can still play Red Skull and Taskmaster for 28 more power, or just Shuri an America Chavez. You have Armor to make your plays nice and safe, too, and you can work around the opponent’s attempts to stop you.

Of course, sometimes Shang-Chi is answered by the simple Shuri into Nimrod into two destroy effects. You have America Chavez, so that comes together reasonably often. And, honestly, there are still some decks that just fold to that combo.

Plus, the locations for this are great. A move location? Snap. A destroy one? Snap. A Throne Room? Snap. This deck is crazy fun – I hope you like it as much as I do.
