Check out the best Marvel Snap decks in this column before they become popular in the meta! There are a lot of awesome decks waiting to be discovered that can take your opponent's Cubes by surprise!

Hello everyone and welcome to Best Marvel Snap Decks of the Week! I’m Glazer of Snap Judgments: The Official Marvel Snap Zone Podcast, and in this article, I’m going to take you through all of my favorite decks this week. In addition to the podcast, I do my own daily videos where I scour the darkest corners of the internet (ahem X and the various Marvel Snap sites) to find the best decks in Marvel Snap before the meta notices.

Remember: Each deck title will take you to a video explanation of the deck, so don’t be shy – check them out!

#1 Deck On Infinite Ladder

This week we were treated to two different decks that hit #1 on the Infinite Ladder! Both featured the new card, Mockingbird, which is already one of the best cards in all of Marvel Snap.

Deck Thoughts:
Demian is an Italian player and streamer who constantly sits near the top of the leaderboard. He broke through with what I think is the perfect current Thanos list for Ladder.

The Italian meta is killing it. After taking home the win in the Johnson Cup and then winning the Snap World Championships, yet another player has claimed number 1 on the Infinite Leaderboard. The deck isn’t fancy; it does all the new Thanos things you’d expect. You have Hope Summers giving energy, Mockingbird getting cheaper, Blob being the biggest, and Cull Obsidian being amazing on rate.

This deck still finds time for some tech cards. Shang-Chi and Mobius M. Moibus make life difficult for decks that want to go taller and for opposing energy cheats to keep up. The real spice is Loki. It gives you a huge edge in the mirror because it’s able to turn your late extra Infinity Stones into cheaper versions of the opponent’s best cards.

It’s extremely hard to replace cards in this one. Mobius can be Caiera and Mockingbird is fine as Skaar. Jeff the Baby Land Shark can be replaced with any good cheap flexible card (think Armor or Nightcrawler). You can always find room for Alioth and Professor X, too. Rogue is really nice as well.

Deck Thoughts:
BigBaby is pretty consistently the top-ranked American player in Marvel Snap, and this week he hit #1 with this shocking (and shockingly good) build.

Cull Obsidian and Mockingbird both go great with specific Zoo cards and give the archetype the ability to go tall without messing up your Dracula shenanigans. Here, Squirrel Girl reduces Mockingbird‘s cost by two, and Shanna reduces her by three while providing plenty of places for Cull Obsidian to be played. Add in a pinch of cheap power from Ant Man, Titania, and Dazzler, the typical Zoo buffers of Ka-Zar and Blue Marvel, and, of course, Alioth to lock in an advantage, and you’re left with an incredibly consistent deck.

You need Alioth, Cull, and Mockingbird, though one of the latter two could perhaps be Gladiator. Nico Minoru is just a regular good 1-Cost here, so it could easily be replaced with Zero or Iceman.

What The Best Players Are Playing

The best players in Marvel Snap never stop brewing. Here, we have everything from Loki and Move to the return of Shuri! Hope Summers is the engine for a lot of the new stuff, but it is not a requirement in this section. We’ll start with the obvious, though: Thanos.

Deck Thoughts:
LambySeries is the best Snap player of all time, and he’s dominating Conquest with this Thanos list.

So, Lamby took the World Championship Thanos list, cut Magneto, added Mockingbird, and called it a day. Unlike the previous Thanos deck, this one gives the opponent a massive amount of questions to answer. Will an early Psylocke lead to Professor X or Vision? Can I keep priority for Alioth? Does that get me hit with Shang-Chi + Mockingbird? No other deck can pose this variety of questions, and nothing is as simple and flexibly powerful as this deck.

Mockingbird is just as fine here as Magneto. Jeff the Baby Land Shark is a requirement for Professor X, and then Alioth makes all the sense in the world. Mobius M. Mobius can be Caiera, Gladiator, or Rogue.

Deck Thoughts:
Dott.Geo is an Italian player and my pick for the current single-best player in the world. He just started streaming, too!

Bounce is my favorite archetype, and, awesomely, this one does almost nothing different except take advantage of the newly buffed Elsa Bloodstone to put Kitty Pryde back into the deck. This can lead to some awkward Bishop or Elsa plays, but the rest of the deck absolutely sings. Hawkeye often gets to a [1/10] (even bigger with Hit Monkey). Mysterio represents a [2/9] with Bast, and it also helps fill lanes and adds a potential six more power from Elsa. The bounce means you get that Elsa buff multiple times, even if you end up mostly using it for Kitty Pryde. Iron Man multiplies your biggest lane to compete with nearly anything.

The deck needs Kitty and Elsa to compete. Nico Minoru is great, but Iceman is pretty solid as a replacement. The monkey is non-negotiable.

Deck Thoughts:
Shuri Enjoyer is a Brazilian player who always sits near the top of the Ladder. Is it any surprise that the enjoyer brought Shuri back?

This is basically the classic build. You play Sauron then Typhoid Mary, Red Skull, and Taskmaster with Ebony Maw. It’s even better if you can replace Typhoid Mary with Shuri. Mix in Vision to mess with Shang-Chi, add Ghost-Spider to do the same, and you have a deck. Enchantress is here for your own Ongoings, sure, but it is also free cubes against the meta’s Ongoing nonsense that gets bigger than this.

Ghost-Spider could be replaced with Nebula, Iceman, Gladiator, or She-Hulk.

Deck Thoughts:
Eva is another brilliant Brazilian player and streamer who often has some of the most creative decks in Marvel Snap!

There’s nothing fancy about this Loki deck other than the new, powerful cards that got added to the shell. This can win games sort of like the Silky Smooth list by using Elsa Bloodstone and Kitty Pryde with Hope Summers to just out-tempo the opponent. Elsa’s buff is awesome for that, so Jeff the Baby Land Shark is back in the deck (as is the recently buffed Cable). Mockingbird is here to be free when you play generated cards, and it fills that role pretty damn well.

You need Kitty for the Elsa version, but Jeff can be Nightcrawler. Snowguard is fine as Maria Hill, and Hope Summers is great, but Cosmo works fine in that spot (so would Mobius M. Mobius. Mockingbird can go back to being Devil Dinosaur, but Loki feels pretty important in this Loki deck.

Deck Thoughts:
It’s BigBaby again with the deck he got to Top 5 with!

This is the Silky Smooth shell with all the silky-ness removed. Instead, it just runs good stats. He plays Gladiator here since it’s big with no work along with Ms. Marvel to be big and wide with limited work. The rest of the shell is the same with cards with good stats and the ability to trigger Hope Summers multiple times combined with good tech like Shang-Chi and Shadow King. This deck really takes off when it can play two 6-Cost cards. Magneto into Doctor Doom is often backbreaking.

You need Hope Summers. Kitty goes with Hope, but Jeff can be Nightcrawler. If you don’t have Gladiator, go back to Silk and Kraven (or try another deck). Omega Red makes a fine replacement for Ms. Marvel.

Brew Kings

If you want something powerful to do with Mockingbird, these two master deck builders have you covered.

Deck Thoughts:
Ika, a player from Georgia (the country, not the US state) is an absolutely brilliant deck crafter. Everything he makes is slightly off-meta, and the brews he shares really work.

The Thanos shell was always expected to work with High Evolutionary, and Ika has a build that combines them. The power reduction of Cyclops, Soul Stone, The Thing leads to a cheap Abomination, which is combined with the Stones making a cheap Mockingbird. With Hope Summers in the deck, you can also just ignore that combo and play Blob into Hulk. Good luck to anyone without Shang-Chi competing on that axis.

Jeff can be replaced with a lot here; try Wasp or Nightcrawler to start. High Evolutionary, Hope, Mockingbird, Thanos, and Blob are requirements, unfortunately. At least it doesn’t run Cull Obsidian?

Deck Thoughts:
Marvel Snap Zone’s own genius deck builder and lover of bad cards is back this week with a shockingly straightforward take on Patriot.

Okay, our last deck is the easiest (including Shuri). First, you play a buff, then Brood or Mister Sinister, Absorbing Man or Iron Lad. From there it’s pretty easy figure out how to win (or Retreat if the situation calls for it). Patriot and Silver Surfer? Sure. A realllllly cheap Mockingbird with one of the two? That works, or you could play it on Turn 6 with Iron Man. How about just Alioth? You certainly should have priority. This is a mean deck.

You don’t need AliothDoctor Doom works fine. Iron Lad is a requirement, though. Without Mockingbird, you can feel free to try Negasonic Teenage Warhead or Rogue!
