Marvel Snap’s limited-time game mode, High Voltage, will return between February 6, 2026 and February 9, 2026 for another purely cosmic event. In this mode, you compete in a super fast-paced Marvel Snap to earn rewards.
Rules and Banned Cards
High Voltage will have a few changes compared to the regular game we are used to. There are only three turns, cards will be drawn two at a time, and each player will receive an extra two to five energy per turn (both players get the same amount of energy to use). Also, there is no Snapping in High Voltage.
Here’s what that will mean in practice:
- Both players will see eight of the twelve cards in their deck during a High Voltage match.
- Turn 1 you’ll have between two and five energy to use.
- Turn 2 you’ll have between four and ten energy to use.
- Turn 3 you’ll have between six and fifteen energy to use.
In addition to these specific rules, certain locations and cards (shown below) are banned in this mode to ensure maximum speed!

Good with the rules and the rewards? Let’s dive into some strategy!
Decks to Play
This time, the ban list targeted one card per iconic archetype in High Voltage, leading to many great cards for flexible archetype to be out of the picture. As such, I expect synergistic decks to do better than usual, although one still has to worry about a potential Cosmo or some other disruptive card if playing without priority.
Here is a collection of ideas you can use to collect the rewards :
Flexible Archetypes
Synergistic High Scorers
There are plenty of other decks to consider in High Voltage, especially as winning matches will only represent a small part of our Volts earnings. Then, if you fancy building a deck around a synergy you enjoy, or just want to make the most of a mode with plenty of counter cards banned, have fun doing it!
As usual, feel free to reach out through my discord (den_ccg) or the Marvel Snap Zone Discord if you need anything. I’m also available for coaching in case anyone is interested!
Good Game Everyone.
