Snap Judgments 5 Underrated Series 5 that Can Transform Your Account!

Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.

Wait, that’s not what we’re doing today! Let’s shake it up. In a companion to yesterday’s top 5 Series 5, I want to spend today going over 5 underrated power spike Series 5 cards.

5. Frigga

Frigga inspired this follow up list. She’s a card that upon release was kind of a bust, and has slowly gained steam to where now it’s a huge power spike for various decks. She doesn’t make anything work alone, but when you have her, suddenly other decks get far more powerful.

For Frigga, the most important of these decks is Victoria Hand. The simple curve of 2 into 3-drop can be a Snap if opponent’s can’t disrupt it. Often more powerful is copying things like Beta Ray Bill’s Hammer or an Anti-Venom hit card… or best of all a Sage or Human Torch. Tons of decks want this, and despite its power, it’s probably even now a bit underexplored.

4. Scream

Scream had a time as the best deck in Marvel Snap, a long time at that. In that deck, she was the highest win rate card, but now, no one plays her. Yes, she was nerfed by a point, but she’s still one of the only (the only?) +4 scaler in the game, and as such, she’s way, way stronger than she looks. Her win rate never plummeted, only her playrate. You should take advantage of that, especially as a new player.

Scream really likes high series cards like Sam Wilson or Cannonball, but she hardly requires them. You can climb with an all series 3 Scream deck using cards like Aero, Stegron, and Magneto, then when the time comes either upgrade it with the aforementioned cards or grab other power cards to build a new deck while winning a ton with the Scream one. It’s win-win!

3. Nico Minoru

Full disclosure – I didn’t originally have Nico on this list. I think she’s just too good, but the Golden Gauntlet’s most recent champion Coougarrr insisted she be here, and well, he got his wish (although I took off his favorite card, Kate Bishop, to get her here).

Nico is the easiest one cost card to add to any deck in Marvel Snap. If you have an extra spot and want a one coster, add Nico and go on with your day. But there’s some decks she’s more than that, too.

Victoria Hand loves her copy. Destroy getting a destroy and draw 2? Chef’s kiss. Pixie will be draw or a Demon just fine, as will any deck that runs the Hood. Hammers are pretty happy there. Every deck wants an extra location change.

There are even two decks that just need her. Bounce wants 1-drops and Nico is basically the best at that, so you’ll really need her for those. Cerebro 2 getting a copy and a location change is insane. She’s one of the best cards in Marvel Snap.

2. Wiccan

Wiccan is just so easy to use. You have Qucksilver and Domino, right? Well, you’re 2-3 of the way to a Wiccan trigger, which usually means a snap and a win. And the optionality of Wiccan! Sick of running Domino? Go get Kate Bishop or Merlin. Want to go big? Ghost Rider”] and Alioth are awaiting your purchase, as is Galactus First Steps. Sick of Mobius M Mobius as your only good 3? Get Copycat, Gladiator, Speed. You can build Wiccan any way you want, and you have the tools to do so. Go do so.

1. Cosmic Ghost Rider

Please insert at least one card name. Click edit to add cards

Ghost Rider”] is going to be a controversial pick, but so be it. I think this card is nuts right now. Whether it be Invisible Woman First Steps, Jocasta, Bullseye, Iron Man, Victoria Hand… on and on, CGR is the answer.

That’s really important for a newer account. Lacking some cards can lead to a power deficit. Tech is the answer to that power defecit. Most tech was nerfed, but CGR is still there for you! You can use him to catch up, to beat opponents with far more powerful decks, and you can get a ton of extra cubes in the proccess.

Before CGR came out (on my birthday!), I said that he’d be the kind of card that had a before and after in Marvel Snap. It turns out that the card is hard enough to play around that it didn’t change the meta, it just became one of the best cards in the game.
