Deck Thoughts

FAK Crazy was the #2 player in February, #1 in March, and has been fighting for the Top Spot for this entire season. He’s both opening and closing this article.

The meta was filled with combo for a while, but the mill mid-range decks removed combo decks like The Phoenix Force, Mister Negative, and so on from the meta. Awaiting the return of midrange, like always, was Loki.

This version of Loki isn’t especially fancy. It runs the regular card generation packages, but because combo is still lurking, it also features a mill package with Baron Zemo and Gladiator. These give the deck play into numerous Wong, The Phoenix Force, and Ongoing combo lists while naturally synergizing with Cable – a card Loki wants anyway. Mockingbird, of course, synergizes perfectly with all the card mill and generation of both packages.

As far as the deck goes, the mill package isn’t required, but to replace it, you’ll need Kitty Pryde and Elsa Bloodstone (with Angela). Mirage is replaceable with a simple Sentinel, and Snowguard can be Maria Hill. Mockingbird could be Devil Dinosaur.

Deck Thoughts

Dikins and Butt are two top-ladder American players, with Butt hanging around the top 5 currently.

This Pixie list is very cool. It can abuse that card to use Cannonball, Professor X, and Annihilus with other powerful cards. Mockingbird, of course, doesn’t need the help of Pixie, making herself cheap with cards like Debrii or Mysterio. Yellowjacket is especially spicy – the card can save a Sentry from Shang-Chi, become a Demon or help draw 2 with Nico Minoru, or make it so a Mysterio clone or rock gets sent over with Annihilus. The pieces here fit together perfectly for a really strong and spicy deck.

It is, however, expensive. Only Jeff is replaceable here, and even then, with Professor X, that’s dangerous. Nightcrawler is the cleanest low-Series replacement. Annihilus is almost replaceable thanks to Lady Deathstrike and Valkyrie, but the Yellowjacket plan takes a big hit then.

Deck Thoughts

YoWoodyMJ has been competing for the Top Infinite spot all season and reached that impressive height with this list from Stefan.

This is a Supergiant abuse deck. Few things in Snap are as terrifying as a Supergiant on 4 with Daredevil out. For this list that can mean Annihilus with Sentry played after, Negasonic Teenage Warhead or Red Guardian or Cosmo to snipe a key card or just safe stats with Ronan or a no-downside Maximus. There’s so much power here!

Gladiator, Red Guardian, and Jeff are the replaceable high-series cards here. Gladiator would be whatever the highest power 2-3 cost-card you own. Red Guardian leaving is space for Shang-Chi. Jeff is amazing here, but Nightcrawler is good enough as a replacement.

Deck Thoughts

rsBerry has been hanging out in the top 10 of the Infinite Leaderboard all season with a wild variety of decks.

This week is was the Crazy version of Thanos with Alioth over Cull Obsidian. This deck outputs a ton of power, able to win with Red Hulk and Blob, as well as unpredictable power like Mockingbird or Vision. Speaking of unpredictable power, the small Hela package of Corvus Glaive with big cards, really puts the power output for this Thanos list over the top. Alioth is here to protect from Shang and ruin all the combo decks day.

The deck works fine without Corvus and Hela, instead running a Cull Obsidian or Crossbones with Psylocke. Those cards are also how you can replace Alioth or Red Hulk, and you can try Magneto for those spots as well. Jeff can be replaced by Psylocke, Nico Minoru, or even a White Widow. You’re just looking for a best-in-slot 2-coster, there. Finally, Mobius can be replaced by Luke Cage.

Deck Thoughts: Batman99 has been hanging out at the top of the Infinite leaderboard for months now, and we finally got ahold of the deck he’s playing this season.

This deck is a direct descendant of the old Silky Smooth lists but without the Silk and Kraven. There’s still Angela and Kitty Pryde for scaling, but big cards like Gladiator replace the need for other cards that grow tall. Hope Summers helps a lot here, too, as the ability to just play two huge cards is more power than growing most of the time. You still do have some move, with Captain Marvel and Vision joining the omnipresent Jeff, but that’s to make power unpredictable and help Hope Summers become an overwhelming amount of energy.

Mobius and Jeff are the replaceable high-series cards here. Jeff can be Silk, and, unfortunately, that’s kind of his only replacement. If you make that change, though, consider Kraven, too. Mobius can be Rogue or Luke Cage without too much trouble. Gladiator, too, can be replaced, but, unfortunately, the replacement is likely Red Guardian. You can try Spider-Man or Polaris, though. Sans Red Hulk, try Doctor Doom or Alioth.

Deck Thoughts: Mylee is a top 10-20 player who’s absolutely crushing the mill meta.

The purpose of this list is to empty your opponent’s deck with Yondu, Cable, Gladiator, and Baron Zemo and then use Doctor Octopus to empty their hand. Magik gives you time to do this, and when it doesn’t work out, Shadow King joins Shang-Chi and Enchantress to counter. Sometimes, one Shang or one piece of mill isn’t enough, so Absorbing Man goes in the list, as well. Red Hulk is here just to be big and distract from the control pieces that usually win you the game.

Red Hulk is replaceable with Magneto. The rest of the high series cards are not.

Deck Thoughts: Lamby is the best player in the history of Marvel Snap.

Lamby went on vacation and returned home to craft a deck that combines the Annihilus junk package with Professor X and Cannonball lockdown. In order to tie these together and decide which way to play, Daredevil provides information, while Ravonna Renslayer makes key cards more playable. The new card White Widow is especially strong here, as they either fill the lane and open themselves up to Cannonball or get the fun of dealing with a -4 Power card.

Annihilus and White Widow are the cards that can be removed here, though both are great. They could be Valkyrie or Lady Deathstrike. Nebula can be Nightcrawler.

Deck Thoughts: W has broken the meta more than any other deck builder in the history of Marvel Snap, whether it be different versions of DoomWave, Thanos Professor X lists, or Guardians Alioth lockdown.

Here, he’s back with a list that looks like a greatest hits album. We have Professor X to lock a location, Alioth to win once a lane is locked, and Doctor Doom to help spread power along with Ms. Marvel and Jeff as an alternative Doom. Ravonna Renslayer and Hope Summers allow you to play these cards, while Cannonball gives an alternative win condition to Alioth when the board gets full. W is really, really great at this.

Alioth can be Red Hulk here, or maybe Magneto, but no other card can be changed. You can try Shang for Cannonball, if you must.

Deck Thoughts

Ika, a player from Georgia (the country, not the US state), is an absolutely brilliant deck artisan. Everything he makes is slightly off-meta, and the brews he shares really work.

This deck is actually several months old – shared the day Hope Summers came out, but Slushdeath brought it back and then won season 1 of the Snap Judgments League with the deck. The list is simple – play big cards to get a nice cheap Skaar while also disrupting with the Darkhawk and Annihilus packages.

Annihilus here can, as usual, be Lady Deathstrike. Cull Obsidian can be replaced with Crossbones while Nico Minoru could be Echo or Iceman.

Deck Thoughts

I told you we’d end with another Crazy deck!

This one really shouldn’t work, but it does. The Jeff and Nightcrawler make for unpredictable power, the Sandman and Leader stop surprises, while Red Hulk goes over the top either at the end of the game or, thanks to Wave, protected early by Professor X. Howard isn’t important, but is very helpful for Iron Lad with this many specific different options as to what he can be while White Widow is just great with Professor X and one of the best in slot 2s.

Widow is the first card to change here, and could relatively easily be Medusa. Iron Lad can be Jubilee and Howard the Duck, well, Howard can be literally anything. You do need Red Hulk for this one, though.
