After a series of unsuccessful bundles with low value and following the huge success of the Comet Cruisin’ Bundle, we’re presented with something that falls in between. Can the low price and Collector’s Tokens make this bundle recommendable? Let’s find out.
Guide
The first thing that stands out is the low cost of 2,400 Gold, which, combined with the Collector’s Tokens, raises the question – how much better is this than your average Token Tuesday?
Well, if we consider that Token Tuesdays now vary, with an average value of 0.77 Tokens per Gold, here we’re dealing with a value of 0.83 Tokens per Gold. Therefore, taking into account that Token Tuesdays have improved over the past few weeks, the Progress Value of the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle amounts to 108.7%. But if we judge by the old value to which we have all become accustomed and which is (for now) used on the website as 0.714 Tokens per Gold, then the Progress Value amounts to 117.5%. If we compare the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle with the best Token Tuesdays available (for 1,500 Gold with 1,200 Collector’s Tokens), then in terms of Progress Value, the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle is still slightly better, by 3.75%, which corresponds to a Progress Value of 103.8%.
So this is definitely an improvement compared to what we’ve seen after the decline in bundle values. Moreover, the price of 2,400 Gold is accessible, and Token Tuesdays have always been not the worst deal by themselves, and here we have an obvious enhancement, even with a bonus in the form of cosmetics!
Although, it’s still worth considering that the 117.5% Progress Value you see on the website will soon change (if it hasn’t already), since the improved and alternating bundles have been released throughout April and are continuing into May, and it would be fair to adjust the calculations taking this into account.
Let’s take a look at how this bundle holds up in comparison to others. Within its price category, the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle confidently takes a spot at the top of the list, outperforming all other bundles except for the Second Dinner bundle.
The bundle also occupies an equally high position when compared to other named bundles in terms of the value of Collector’s Tokens per Gold, not to mention the Token Tuesdays, which we have already discussed. However, when compared to all named bundles, the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle finds itself right in the middle of the list, which is generally forgivable, considering its cost.
Regarding Jane Foster Mighty Thor and her variant, yes, she is a Series 3 card and those who don’t have the card can immediately use her. However, the problem for both new players and veterans is that the play rate of this card is quite low and it’s almost absent in the meta. The only somewhat competitive deck with her is Mr. Negative, which includes many expensive cards, meaning it’s suitable only for players with high-level collections.
Conclusion
Thus, the bundle is an excellent fit for those who need cards to purchase with Collector’s Tokens, which usually applies to newcomers who don’t have a complete Series 3 collection, although this offer may also be suitable for veterans since they might not have enough Spotlight Keys for all the cards.
Depending on the method of calculation, this bundle is 17.5%, 8.7%, or 3.75% better than Token Tuesdays, so if you were planning to buy them anyway, this offer is a must-have purchase, especially for such a low price.
For those who are waiting for a bundle with a lot of Credits or a bundle that’s equally mathematically advantageous as Comet Cruisin’, I can only advise to wait a bit longer. This time, unlike last month, there is real hope that the value of the bundles will be at a decent level and we will all get more than one bundle with a high Progress Value of around 130%.
So I rate the Mjolnir’s Favorite bundle at 3.5 stars as very decent, exceeding the value of Token Tuesdays, but not so great that I would recommend it for purchase to everyone.
