Vibranium Offers - In-Game

Vibranium Powered Offers – May 3, 2024 – Free 100 Credits for All Players!

New Vibranium Powered Offers (Step Up Bundles) details and value analysis.

Marvel Snap will be offering players Vibranium Powered Offers (Step Up Bundles) for the Thunderbolts Season. These are free and additional rewards for spending in-game or in their for a limited time – the more you spend, the more rewards you get.

This latest one is available in-game (and seems to be working fine, after the previous offer was taken down due to a bug) but is not yet live on the Marvel Snap Web Shop. It seems that this time the Vibranium Powered Offers are exclusive to the in-game shop and despite the promotional image, there are no Gold rewards. Check out the full details below.

Remember, all players can claim the 100 Credits and 30 Boosters from the Vibranium Powered Offers shop page!

How Is The Value Analyzed Here?

The Vibranium Powered Offers event can be broken down into separate parts, thus making 12 bundles. Each bundle includes not only the contents of the corresponding stage of the reward track but also the following reward. This is so because you have no other way to get, for example, 100 Credits that come after the first reward with 500 Credits, except by purchasing the node for 2.99 USD.

In addition, since you can’t buy the last bundle in the series without buying the very first one, there’s no point in analyzing them separately. There is a cumulative effect here, so the bundles are grouped by stages, sequentially, to answer the question “when is it worth stopping?” and “which purchases will provide the most value?”

Thus, we will be analyzing the value of bundles when purchasing them sequentially, dividing the purchase stages into tiers.

Vibranium Powered Offers Value Analysis

The first feature that stands out when looking at bundles is that they contain no Gold or Collector’s Tokens, only Credits. This already suggests that they are primarily intended for Progress Value through Spotlight Caches and are well suited for beginners who can best utilize the value from Credits in this way. So, lovers of Collector’s Tokens or cosmetics might want to wait for other bundles.

Another feature of the bundles is that they are actually only available in the in-game shop. They are not in the Webshop as they used to be – they have moved into the game, and because of this, players have lost about a 10% discount that was applied due to the currency exchange when paying. Most likely, this is because Second Dinner wants to have a full-fledged store within the game, not relying on Nuverse, from under whose wing Second Dinner will soon depart.

This is logical and understandable, and in the future, while bundles may technically become more expensive because of this, they will be comparable to each other. However, for now, I will record this as a downside for the current Vibranium Offers, since all other bundles can still be purchased with such a discount, but the current Vibranium Offer cannot, meaning they naturally have 10% less value due to the lack of a discount.

Now, let’s break down the analysis into the main tiers by key price categories.

Vibranium Powered Offers (May 3) – Tier 1

The very first and cheapest bundle in the chain is traditionally the best value among the rest, and at a price of 3 USD, it offers the most for each dollar spent. Even if we look at all the bundles available for dollars that there have ever been, this bundle ranks quite high relative to others.

If we look at the bundles over the last three months, a period when the overall value of bundles has been lower than it used to be, this little guy stands out even more among the rest for its Progress Value.

However, if we consider the value of the bundle in its price category, it’s inferior to its competitors from the past – the Vibranium Offers on April 28th had a significantly better bundle for the same price. And even more so, the current vibranium offer can’t compete with the famous bundle for new players, which temporarily appears in the shop – the Welcome Bundle.

Nevertheless, the overall value of the bundle is quite good if you’ve already purchased the Welcome Bundle or if you’re a veteran. It’s one of the most cost-effective ways to spend money after the Season Pass and the Gold Pass.

Vibranium Powered Offers (May 3) – Tier 2 & Tier 3

Purchasing second and third tier bundles may seem like a good option if you look at the cumulative Progress Value, but in reality, as seen from the table above, the second tier is actually the worst in terms of value among all the considered bundles.

However, the second tier may be of interest because it’s where you receive one of the few Premium Mystery variants available in the current Vibranium Offers. This cosmetic value may play a decisive role for some, but overall, it’s not worth getting either the second tier or the third tier bundle, which, although slightly cheaper, doesn’t offer much more value.

This is also confirmed by comparing bundles with others in their respective price categories. They are quite average, not standing out much from the crowd. Yes, the value is decent, but not excellent, especially considering that you don’t get approximately a 10% discount from purchasing through the Webshop, as bundles are available only in-game.

Vibranium Powered Offers (May 3) – Other Tiers

The other tiers are not particularly distinguished by anything interesting; their price and value remain roughly the same and are repeated across all tiers, except for the last one. Approximately 175% Progress Value, which you will receive cumulatively by purchasing all bundles up to any of these tiers, is actually below average not only for the entire observation period but also for the last three months.

Let’s take the Tier 1-9 bundle as an example. It has 174% Progress Value and costs almost 100 USD, which is an interesting starting point for analysis, since there have been many bundles at this price in the game.

As can be seen from the charts below, 174% is not an impressive value when compared. The first chart covers the entire period after the introduction of Spotlight Caches in the game, while the second chart shows the last three months. In both cases, the bundle is below the average value, which is 187% and 179% respectively.

If we compare this specific bundle for 100 USD with its competitors in the same price category, it can be seen that it significantly outperforms only the quite mediocre Pro Bundle, which is still available in the game, and slightly outpaces the Artist Showcase: In-Hyuk bundle.

So it’s unlikely to be a good way to spend 100 USD if you intend to do so in Marvel Snap. By purchasing regular bundles at 10, 15, 20 USD, you will get more Progress Value, as well as enjoy exclusive cosmetics as a bonus.

Here, the bet is on the player’s excitement when purchasing several bundles in a row, rather than on thoughtful resource expenditure aimed at getting the most Progress Value for each USD.

If you buy all bundles, you’ll first discover that the last bundle by itself, for the first time from the Vibranium Offers, provides significantly more value than all previous ones. In past articles, I wrote that it was nonsensical to offer a bundle with one of the worst values at the very end, but now this has been corrected, and at least after spending nearly 150 USD, you’ll get a pleasant surprise at the end from the amount of resources per USD.

Spending 150 USD will give you roughly 2 Series 5 cards after you’ve effectively spent all the resources, provided that you’ve almost completely finished the collection and aren’t a newcomer (since newcomers will get a lot more cards from Spotlight Caches).

The value of this bundle is right in the middle, even when compared to bundles from the last 3 months, and this is not at all what you expect from such an expensive bundle.

And even more disappointment can be had if you look at the Total Value of this bundle compared to other bundles from the last 3 months, since the lack of variants makes it almost the worst deal by this metric that you could possibly have.

Therefore, it’s worth giving some thought to purchasing this bundle only if you have been and will be buying all the bundles from the shop, or if you urgently need a large amount of Credits for splits or Spotlight Caches and you do not wish to wait for other Credit bundles. Especially considering that, despite the unimpressive Progress Value, the ratio of Credits per USD here is quite high.

Conclusion

Thus, the very first bundle is quite a good deal and worth considering, especially if you have already purchased more priority items – the Season Pass, the Gold Pass, and Welcome Bundle. Then, for you, right now and in the near future, it is one of the best offers in terms of Progress Value per buck.

All other bundles should only be considered for purchase if you are looking for a large amount of Credits at a favorable price, have absolutely no interest in Gold, Collector’s Tokens, or the variants that other bundles offer, and can afford such a purchase after acquiring the Season Pass and Gold Pass, and also do not want to wait for other more advantageous offers containing Credits.

Otherwise, I urge you to think twice and not seriously consider purchasing bundles after the first one.
