Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List: November 3, 2024 – We Are Venom Week 5

Time is running out to get your Infinity avatars in the We Are Venom season! If you want to know what deck to play (or which silent performer can surprise your opponents), you need to look at this week's Tier List!

Welcome to our Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List! Each week, we review the best decks in the ever-changing Marvel Snap Conquest meta.

This report is dedicated to the Conquest mode and lists the current best decks to run the gauntlet and grab your next Infinity avatar. We also provide a Ranked report, available around the middle of the week based on the latest updates, that highlights the best archetypes for that mode. Looking to figure out the impact of the newly released card or the latest balance changes in Conquest? This is the place to be!

If you are looking for more information about a deck in particular, check out our Archetypes pages, with detailed information about each of the household names in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Conquest Overview

The week of the Infinity League is the most competitive time of the season in Conquest. When the meta isn’t fully figured out (like, for example, when a balance patch or OTA happens at the same time, or an impactful card is released), it can lead to a very fun environment. Then, the best performing decks battle against the newcomers, and the Infinity Avatars can go to both the best pilots and the most creative deck builders.

This season didn’t go that way, unfortunately. Indeed, the balance update happened last week, which gave the players enough time to figure out the best decks. Once again, Agent Venom is at the core of most of those decks, so there wasn’t even get a different environment compared to before the update.

As for the new card, Anti-Venom helped Hela regain a bit of strength. It was enough for the archetype to be playable, but only as a Silent Performer.

This is a solved meta. You can play Agent Venom, try to counter it, or hope you are good enough with your deck to make a difference as a pilot.

Happy Tier List, everyone!

Disclaimer and Tier Explanations

In order to be featured here, a deck needs to hold a win rate above the 50% threshold over more than a hundred Conquest games.

In order to create this chart, den is using data from our Marvel Snap Tracker, as well as other available data online and his own expertise and opinion of respected players. If a deck showed great performances with a very limited presence in the meta, you can find it in the Silent Performers section. That section highlights decks with an excellent Win Rate, but too little of a sample size to be representative of their real strength.

Decks not good enough to be considered contenders but with a good representation will be ranked in Tier 3 in our chart. See those builds as decks that are good to know about, as you should face them when playing Marvel Snap. However, unless the meta changes or a new variation of the build emerges, these decks are a notch below the dominant ones in Tiers 1 and 2.

Silent Performer: Decks with a very little presence in the meta that still showcase a Cube Average and Win Rate worthy of a Tier 2 deck (or better). Oftentimes, these can be archetypes with some nice game play that have been left unchecked in the current environment, or decks on the rise that found a few good match ups to abuse.

Tier 1: Tier 1 represents decks with all the upsides we would be looking for to run the gauntlet. They have good match ups in the current meta, offer different play patterns during a match, and often have the ability for explosive or surprising turns. These should be decks worth investing into in order to climb for the coming week.
Win Rate > 65%

Tier 2: Tier 2 are very good decks but with a weakness holding them back – either not being as reliable in its draws as Tier 1 decks, countered by another popular deck, or still being a work in progress as you read this. A good pilot could probably take these and have the same results as with a Tier 1 deck, but their play patterns are more difficult to enact compared to the tier above.
Win Rate > 60%

Tier 3: This tier is made of decks that have a pervasive issue compared to Tier 1 or Tier 2 decks. Usually, Tier 3 will be a mix of decks on the rise that don’t have much data, old archetypes on the decline, decks that require substantial experience and/or knowledge to pilot properly, powerful decks that aren’t well positioned, or niche decks.
Win Rate > 55%

Budget: Decks that consist only of cards in Pool 1 and 2 that are still capable of competing with an experienced pilot in a similar Collection Level, Rank, and MMR range. See our matchmaking guide for more details.

Anti-Venom replaced Black Cat in the Hela deck to give the deck the ability to sneak two 6-Cost cards in on Turn 6. Certain players have also cut Hellcow to run Grand Master instead since the latter can be used on Blade, Lady Sif, or Anti-Venom. This little twist brought Hela back in the conversation of playable decks, but it is nowhere near being considered dominant. Indeed, apart from one list with a Win Rate above 60% over 25 matches, the rest of the builds gravitated around the 55% mark, which is pretty low (at least compared to the decks in Tier 1).

Considering Shadow King is much more popular than Shang-Chi right now, high power cards aren’t such a flight risk. Plus, they often give you priority when you want it, which is a very important mechanic in the current environment.

As such, while it might seem like a basic deck that’s just looking to develop points and slam Skaar on the board, the “10 power” archetype is doing a lot of things right for this specific meta. It even has enough room to run Shadow King for Agent Venom, Cosmo for a lot of decks, and Killmonger for Bounce.

This is a solid alternate choice if you aren’t much into explosive, low cost based archetypes.

A 72% Win Rate over 600 games is a crazy strong performance; it’s one you don’t achieve just because you have a great match up against Bounce.

In my opinion, Sera Control is that good thanks to being the best at controlling the cube flow in a match. Since Agent Venom made it into the deck, the archetype has the ability to play to counter or to play for points, which gives it two ways to win a match. It might not feel like a big deal, but the current meta cares a lot about your ability to stay in a match after your opponent Snapped.

Most decks, even the great ones, will look to control who Snaps. Their strength comes from being able to pull the trigger more often than their opponent. Sera Control not only has that ability thanks to Agent Venom, it is also more able to stay when the opponent Snaps due to its counter cards.

This is the best deck in the game, plain and simple.

Potential Additions

Red Guardian is the flexible card if you want to include Sage or another proactive option.

While Sera Control and Bounce are on the rise, Good Cards was the only archetype to be hit by the balance update with Klaw granting seven power instead of eight and Rockslide becoming a 4-Cost.

With those slight hits, Good Cards lost the throne it held for most of the season, but it remained a serious contender—especially in Conquest. In this mode, the disruption brought by shuffling Rocks into your opponent’s deck, coupled with the ability to shut down your opponent with Cosmo or Black Widow, are more than enough to Snap once you know your opponent is weak to it.

At least, that is what the 69.5% Win Rate tells me.

Potential Additions

The other way to play Good Cards is also competitive in this environment.

If it wasn’t for that very difficult match up against Sera Control and a weakness to Shadow King, Bounce would likely be sitting at the top of this list. But, with “only” a 65% Win Rate, the archetype sits third in the Agent Venom competition. Funnily enough, third in the Agent Venom rankings also equals third in the overall rankings.

Potential Additions

Werewolf By Night, Shadow King, Rogue, and Iceman are cards you could try in Bounce.

The September season is still standing strong as its featured archetype is the only one able to challenge the Agent Venom domination in Conquest. Human Torch has become a bit of a liability with Sera Control gaining momentum and Killmonger being a staple in that list. Still, with Cosmo and Alioth, Move can often just focus on building as many points as possible and then block two lanes from allowing any On Reveal abilities card to trigger.

Arguably, Agent Venom decks are easier to play (maybe not Bounce) than Move. Maybe this is the best deck in the game in experienced hands.

Potential Additions

Doctor Strange is the flexible card, with Hercules or another counter card such as Juggernaut or Copycat possibly replacing it.

Arishem is still a decent pick, although it fails to compare to the dominant decks. Your best draws will be able to beat anyone, but you have to give up a few cubes every match due to the sub-par draws.

Honestly, a 61% Win Rate is great, it’s just a matter of four other decks breaking the 65% barrier this week.

Potential Additions

Nick Fury, Magneto, Cosmo, and other such high impact cards are good to consider in an Arishem deck

Discard Dracula got much better since Scorn joined the synergy, but Conquest isn’t really the mode for it to shine. Indeed, once your opponent knows you are a Discard deck, the Snap and Retreat strategy is much easier to figure out. Plus, Cosmo is very popular at the moment.

Nonetheless, a 60% Win Rate is a very good performance; it’s one that Discard Dracula didn’t manage to achieve in a long time. The deck is better than Hela if I had to pick one, but the Discard synergy as a whole isn’t very fit for a mode where you play against the same opponent for ten cubes.

Potential Additions

Miek can replace The Collector for more flexibility and the ability to dodge Shadow King, but at the risk of Killmonger removing your card entirely.

This has been a rough season for Destroy. It’s been forced to play hide and seek with Cosmo and Shadow King too often to build some momentum, so it is no surprise to see it in the last tier. Agony gave the deck a reason to gain popularity two weeks ago, but the card isn’t part of the best performing builds anymore.

We are back to the Arnim Zola or Shang-Chi debate when it comes to the 12th card, as well as dodging opponent’s counter cards. In a way, the 53% Win Rate could be regarded as the worst the archetype can do, which is better than a lot of other decks.

Scream Move has been stellar all season long, but it struggled in Conquest compared to the Ranked mode so this ranking isn’t a huge surprise. Basically, your success with the deck will come from your ability to keep your opponent in games where you have a nutty start, or finding a 12th card that is able to help when you don’t get that start.

Silk and Jeff the Baby Land Shark have been battling for the last spot, but Silver Sable and Cable have peeked in at times. Still, the definite solution, at least when it comes to Conquest, is up in the air.

Closing Words

There isn’t much left to discover in this meta, which makes this Infinity League more of a grind with a deck you are comfortable with to get the 5-0 run than a puzzling challenge. Sure, games will be challenging and a lot of your decisions will impact the outcome of your games, but it is hard to make a difference from a deckbuilding standpoint. That leaves only your piloting skills to separate a player from another.

Pick a deck you feel good about, ideally one with Agent Venom, and just use those tickets before the new season hopefully shakes things up.

As usual, find me on the Marvel Snap Zone community Discord to discuss the report, or you can follow my Twitter page where I share decks and biased opinions about the game.

Good Game Everyone.
