Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List: November 10, 2024 – War of the Nine Realms Week 1

Surtur also put its stamp on Conquest, although the new Season Pass card isn't as dominant here as it was in Ranked. But the October Season Pass card, Agent Venom, and a few others are fighting back! Who will win? Find out here!

Welcome to our Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List! Each week, we review the best decks in the ever-changing Marvel Snap Conquest meta.

This report is dedicated to the Conquest mode and lists the current best decks to run the gauntlet and grab your next Infinity avatar. We also provide a Ranked report, available around the middle of the week based on the latest updates, that highlights the best archetypes for that mode. Looking to figure out the impact of the newly released card or the latest balance changes in Conquest? This is the place to be!

If you are looking for more information about a deck in particular, check out our Archetypes pages, with detailed information about each of the household names in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Conquest Overview

Just like in Ranked, Surtur has been so popular that it didn’t leave much room for other archetypes to exist. If you also factor in that Conquest is a mode where most people just do their missions at this time of the season, it can be hard to figure what to do with the information available.

For what its worth, I believe there are two important pieces of information to gain from looking at the decks that are performing well outside the super popular 10 Power archetype. And, considering you have to beat that deck to advance in Conquest, these archetypes could represent the start of how to beat Surtur and company (if it ever gets to that).

Positioning themselves as solid candidates are Discard Dracula and Arishem Loki (in addition to Agent Venom decks). Those two decks are able to develop a lot of power, which is usually enough to challenge the Surtur. This means the points output of Surtur and Skaar isn’t so huge that you can’t take them head on if you find another synergy that is able to develop a ton of points as well.

You might also notice that Magneto is more popular than Blob in the Arishem deck at the moment because it grants the deck the ability to move most of the important ten power cards on Turn 5.

There is little room for other decks to exist with both of the most recent Season Pass cards taking up basically the entire meta at the moment. Only Arishem and Discard Dracula exist as popular decks outside these two, but they’re at least posting nice performances. I would expect to see only a couple of other archetypes until Surtur‘s fame wears off. This time, those archetypes are Scream Move and Destroy. Both are at the bottom of the rankings, though, so it is hard to say much about them apart from the fact that they are a bit more popular than the other decent but not particularly relevant archetypes of this meta.

Happy Tier List, everyone!

Disclaimer and Tier Explanations

In order to be featured here, a deck needs to hold a win rate above the 50% threshold over more than a hundred Conquest games.

In order to create this chart, den is using data from our Marvel Snap Tracker, as well as other available data online and his own expertise and opinion of respected players. If a deck showed great performances with a very limited presence in the meta, you can find it in the Silent Performers section. That section highlights decks with an excellent Win Rate, but too little of a sample size to be representative of their real strength.

Decks not good enough to be considered contenders but with a good representation will be ranked in Tier 3 in our chart. See those builds as decks that are good to know about, as you should face them when playing Marvel Snap. However, unless the meta changes or a new variation of the build emerges, these decks are a notch below the dominant ones in Tiers 1 and 2.

Silent Performer: Decks with a very little presence in the meta that still showcase a Cube Average and Win Rate worthy of a Tier 2 deck (or better). Oftentimes, these can be archetypes with some nice game play that have been left unchecked in the current environment, or decks on the rise that found a few good match ups to abuse.

Tier 1: Tier 1 represents decks with all the upsides we would be looking for to run the gauntlet. They have good match ups in the current meta, offer different play patterns during a match, and often have the ability for explosive or surprising turns. These should be decks worth investing into in order to climb for the coming week.
Win Rate > 60%

Tier 2: Tier 2 are very good decks but with a weakness holding them back – either not being as reliable in its draws as Tier 1 decks, countered by another popular deck, or still being a work in progress as you read this. A good pilot could probably take these and have the same results as with a Tier 1 deck, but their play patterns are more difficult to enact compared to the tier above.
Win Rate > 56%

Tier 3: This tier is made of decks that have a pervasive issue compared to Tier 1 or Tier 2 decks. Usually, Tier 3 will be a mix of decks on the rise that don’t have much data, old archetypes on the decline, decks that require substantial experience and/or knowledge to pilot properly, powerful decks that aren’t well positioned, or niche decks.
Win Rate > 52%

Budget: Decks that consist only of cards in Pool 1 and 2 that are still capable of competing with an experienced pilot in a similar Collection Level, Rank, and MMR range. See our matchmaking guide for more details.

The less competitive the environment is, the more appealing the 10 Power archetype becomes. I’m not trying to diss the deck, I’m just implying it is a bad deck that is doing well because it is early in the season. The simplicity of its play patterns makes it very appealing for anyone who is looking to play somewhat mindlessly. Plus, the deck is posting Win Rates between 60% up to 67%, which makes it an even more obvious pick.

With that said, early season Conquest is the land of testing decks and getting missions done. Even when Shuri Sauron was nerfed, it remained very popular in Conquest for that same reason. As such, I expect the 10 Power deck to be really popular for a while, and its true test will come later when winning becomes more important.

Potential Additions

White Widow is the most flexible card in the deck, and it can be replaced with Psylocke or Shadow King. Luke Cage is used for protection against the likes of Silver Sable and Cassandra Nova, but Cosmo can also be considered there.

Starter Card

Just like in October, the Good Cards archetype is switching between lists in order to find what fits the current meta the most. In Conquest, the pick remains Darkhawk, as the disruption cause by shuffling Rocks is unmatched for creating Snap opportunities. Plus, the deck plays Silver Sable and Cassandra Nova, both of which can possibly ruin the Surtur synergy if they hit any of the ten power cards.

This disruption combined with Iron Man still possibly opens a win on points as well, which makes Good Cards Darkhawk a very solid pick in this 10 Power dominated meta.

Potential Additions

Juggernaut, Iron Lad, and other such strong standalone cards that are able to win on the back of a high roll make sense in this deck.

Arishem is the only archetype that appeared in both the Ranked and Conquest reports without running either Agent Venom or Surtur. While it didn’t do very well in Ranked, its performance in Conquest was much better with a strong 62% Win Rate.

On paper, Arishem has all the tools to handle the current meta. Shadow King and Shang-Chi can deal with the big cards while Cassandra Nova can make them fall to nine power. Loki is much better against Surtur than it was against Agent Venom, too. Last, Magneto can clog a lane on Turn 5 in this meta that is filled with tons of 3- and 4-Cost cards.

Unfortunately, the random cards can get in the way too often, but this could be a better environment for Arishem once the perfect list is figured out.

Potential Additions

Enchantress can help against Ongoing decks, and Blob still represents a big chunk of points if you wanted more.

Discard Dracula

If there is one thing that Discard Dracula is pretty good at, its developing points. This means that the current meta plays to the archetype’s strengths, which was confirmed by the 60% Win Rate. Cosmo is still pretty popular since the 10 Power decks use it occasionally, so don’t be too cocky when playing Discard. Plus, Armor can typically be a problem for Gambit.

Still, the opponent will routinely need at least two of their ten power cards to match your Dracula, and the 10 Power deck can’t really afford to keep their cards in hand to wait for the perfect time to use them. As such, you can play around counter cards much more now than you were able to in the previous, more flexible meta.

Potential Additions

The Collector can replace Miek because it can grow to a bigger amount, but it obviously can’t move.

Sera Control is rarely is able to win two lanes on points alone. Hit Monkey can take one over, but you need to disrupt your opponent one way or another for the second one, even if Bishop grows to a decent amount.

The addition of Mobius M. Mobius to the deck certainly helps take Skaar out of the equation, but it also makes the deck worse against Agent Venom with Iron Man, Darkhawk, and such. Still, the meta feels worse overall for Sera this season. Killmonger isn’t putting in as much work, and U.S. Agent is often being met with Luke Cage.

Potential Additions

Rogue or Shang-Chi could replace Mobius M. Mobius or Red Guardian depending the match ups you want to target.

Scream Move is the same deck with the same flexible 12th card, just in a slightly worse meta. Indeed, not only is Luke Cage more popular (which completely shuts down Kingpin and half the power of Scream), there are also fewer cheap cards to move with Polaris, as well as fewer full locations to steal with Cannonball.

A 56% Win Rate isn’t bad, but it is lower than what Scream Move was used to in October.

Potential Additions

Silk is the flexible card. Jeff the Baby Land Shark, Alioth, Shang-Chi, or Red Guardian are some of the possible replacements.

Tier 3

Shadow King is still a card, and the 10 Power archetypes has Armor in every list (and Cosmo in most), so the meta in November isn’t particularly better for Destroy than it was last season. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Arnim Zola stealing games that come down to a points shootout, Destroy wouldn’t be mentioned at all in the current meta.

Closing Words

Arishem continues to find ways to be in the discussion, and Discard benefited heavily from a more points focused meta. Otherwise, this first week of play was very much a Surtur vs. Agent Venom battle. So far, Surtur is in the lead since it develops more points than Agent Venom can match, both in Conquest and Ranked.

I could point out that the first week of the season usually proves nothing with bots in Ranked and no incentive to take Conquest seriously. But, even if nobody tried particularly hard, Surtur won the first round.

Let’s see what happens in round two.
