Cannonball Run Bundle Details
Guide
The Cannonball Run Bundle has been changed from the earlier datamined version. This bundle now contains 4,000 Credits instead of 3,600 Credits, which is a very good upgrade. Now it has more value in terms of Series 5 cards compared to Token Tuesdays. Yes, the difference is only 0.03, but that’s better than the negative value that has become the norm for such bundles lately.
Combined with a Progress Value of 1.2, it’s a pretty good bundle! I could say it’s a slightly better version of Token Tuesdays, but it allows you to get new cards through the Spotlight Caches instead of directly buying them for Collector’s Tokens. Also, this bundle has some cosmetics on top as a nice bonus. It’s a decent bundle for its cost, as long as you manage the Spotlight Caches you receive correctly.
Although the Cannonball Run Bundle isn’t bad at all, consider this: three expensive bundles for Gold will be released starting in October (Forged in Night, High Stakes, and Artist Showcase: Kai Lun Qu). They have a significantly higher amount of value per Gold spent, so you might want to consider saving up for them. Also, take into account that a player without a Season Pass can get a maximum of about 2,000 Gold per month, and a player with a Season Pass can get up to 3,500 Gold per month. All three of the above bundles will cost a total of 17,500 Gold, so I suggest you think about your priorities when spending your Gold.
Speaking of variants, Giganto is a Series 3 card, so a variant for him would allow you to use him in decks right away. Unfortunately, the problem here is that it’s only used in a couple decks with a lot of other Series 3 cards – Hela Discard and Lockjaw – which means it’s unlikely that a player with an incomplete Series 3 collection will have all the necessary cards. Besides, Giganto is not mandatory in these decks. Therefore, buying this bundle to gain access to Giganto is hardly a good idea.
The deck below has an example of using Giganto in a mix of Lockjaw and Hela decks that maintains a good Win Rate. Giganto is almost impossible to use with other cards, so the variant for him will probably be used in one of these archetypes.
In turn, Armor is an extremely versatile card that fits into almost any deck. Below is an example of the most popular deck with Armor at the moment. You’ll probably see her variant very often if you buy the Cannonball Run bundle.
In the end, we got a pretty good bundle for a fairly low price. And although we give it a decent rating of 3 out of 5 stars, keep in mind that in a month and a half there will be three extremely good bundles for Gold available, and you might want to save up for them. Honestly, it’s really nice that we finally know exactly which bundles we’ve been saving up for all this time.
