If last week we got an expensive deal for as much as 6,500 Gold, then this week we’re met with a very cheap bundle instead, for only 2,500 Gold. Let’s take a closer look at what this little one is capable of and what it’s worth.
3,500 Gold and no Tokens? It’s already pleasing to the eye for those who chase splits or just haven’t finished their Series 3 collection. It’s been a while since we last had a named bundle with only Credits.
Tokens for Gold are also at a decent level – 0.92 is higher than the 0.90 threshold, so the value already seems pretty good. As a bonus, some might like the variant for X-23, which has been in the game for a while and is a Series 4 card. But there’s still a small chance that you don’t have it.
Comparison With Other Bundles
In terms of Progress Value, the bundle performs quite poorly – 112.8% against the average of 114%, so it’s below average on both charts. But it’s worth considering that this parameter is less fair to bundles with only Credits because the price of Credits in the shop isn’t as bad as it is for Tokens.
But among the bundles in its price category, Claws Out feels quite good! Even considering all bundles released since August 2023, it remains above average. Not to mention the last 6 months, which show what a big joke 3,000 Gold bundles were and how much more you get for every Gold spent with Claws Out in comparison.
In terms of the most important metric for any bundle (Total Tokens per Gold) this bundle also performs confidently! And that’s despite its extremely low cost. Yeah, it isn’t at the very top, but it’s above average, which is already a compliment for such a “little guy”. Over the last six months, only 3 other bundles were better in terms of value, while the rest were either at the same level or worse, which is worth noting.
As for Credits per Gold, it’s simple – it still isn’t better than Booster Packs with their 1.67 Credits per Gold, but among named bundles, it’s one of the best. And of course, 1.40 is better than the basic 1.25 in the shop, so if you’ve been thinking about converting some Gold into Credits – this is a great option, especially if you already buy Booster Packs every week.
What if you don’t have X-23?
It’s certainly a bit strange to evaluate a variant for a Series 4 card released as far back as 2.5 years ago as a source of extra value, but still – if you don’t have X-23 and would like to add her to your collection as a bonus, then the value of the bundle becomes extremely high, second only to bundles featuring Series 5 cards.
Use cases for the X-23 variant
X-23 has found her permanent home only in destroy decks. Unfortunately, despite the second half of her ability, her potential in discard builds is basically zero. So if you want to add this beautiful variant to your destroy deck or don’t have X-23 in your collection at all and want to build a good deck with her – here are a couple of decks showing the best results in the meta.
The first one is classic destroy, and the second is a more experimental Weapon X build with the new Archangel Horseman of Death card.
Conclusion
Thus, the Claws Out is quite good, especially for its modest price. Yeah, it isn’t among the top-tier bundles, but it still shares 4th place in terms of value among bundles from the last 6 months. That’s solid considering most bundles during this time didn’t even reach the average value or barely stayed at its level.
Of course, this bundle can’t compete with Booster Packs (just like many others) but still, if you already buy them every week or you just need a lot of Credits for new splits or CL track progress, this bundle is for you. Especially if you don’t have X-23 or you have a lot of Gold and Tokens that often appear in bundles and take up a part of the value are actually just useless to you.
So, 3.5 stars. Clearly above average, cheap and cheerful, but not a must-have.
Also, don’t forget that you can evaluate this bundle in comparison to others using a variety of different criteria, utilizing the special chart on the dedicated Claws Out bundle page! Below is an updated guide on how to use our tools to evaluate bundles on your own.
