Zombie Galacti is the last Series 5 cards joining Marvel Snap for the September 2025 Season, Undead Horde. It is a 7-Cost, 4-Power card that reads: Start of Game: Choose 6 other cards in your deck. On Reveal: Transform those cards into copies of this.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Zombie Galacti comes in with multiple requirements in order to be good. First, we need a deck able to reach 7 energy, so Magik, Arishem, Hope Summers or such card able to gain energy needs to be a part of the mix :

Step one is complete, now we have to find targets for Zombie Galacti. Indeed, the whole point of this card is to transform our cards into copies of that [7/4].
Looking at cards able to gain us energy, there are a few targets, but clearly nothing justifying to build our entire deck around Zombie Galacti.
Then, we probably also need to buff our 7-cost in order to make the transformation worth it :

There are many cards available to buff our hand in Marvel Snap. Surge, Phastos and Mister Fantastic First Steps are particularly appealing as they also discount our cards, helping with the energy part of Zombie Galacti. Plus, Surge is a great target with her 1-power, while the other two would be fine if we consider our 7-cost will be buffed past 4-power.
Zombie Galacti picks 6 cards from our deck as targets, which represents a very large part of our deck, more than half with the 7-cost included. While we could run a ton of low-cost cards, that would make our deck quite weird when Zombie Galacti doesn’t show up.
Then, the best course of action likely is to find multipurpose cards, checking at least two boxes amongst these categories :
- Helps to play Zombie Galacti
- Buffs Zombie Galacti
- Represents a target for Zombie Galacti
- Easy to get on the board
From those categories, we have one left to explore : the best targets for Zombie Galacti. We might not have that many cards to do so after we included energy gains and power buffs. Yet, we need to get as many of the 6 targets on the board in order to make Zombie Galacti profitable :

I could include most cheap cards we are certain to play whenever they are drawn. Yet, even if The Hood, Spider-Ham and such are great targets, they can be tricky to play if drawn in the second half of the match.
On the other hand, M'Baku solves the problem of not being drawn, while Thanos’ Infinity Stones can be drawn with the Mind Stone. Plus, several have a draw ability as well.
This could be an interesting package to explore with Zombie Galacti :

I’m sure we have 12 cards in Marvel Snap to make some type of cohesive deck. However, will that be good and consistent enough to be competitive ?
I’m not certain, but if we aren’t looking for consistent, there are always some high rolls we can attempt :

The Verdict: Should You Get Zombie Galacti ?
I believe Zombie Galacti is a great card from a design standpoint. Indeed, its ability to impact all locations at once when coming down onto the board should be a great way to surprise our opponent and steal some cubes.
However, that upside comes with a mix of requirements, both in the energy and power department.
The card I foresee as a fantastic ally for Zombie Galacti is Pixie. The 2-cost represents a target and allows unbalancing our deck if need be.
Otherwise, Zombie Galacti also fits various high roll based ideas, which can work in a game allowing us to Snap and Retreat.
Overall, Zombie Galacti is both an interesting card from a deckbuilding standpoint, and seems to have enough synergies to expect at least one to click, hopefully.
Pre-Release Score:
Zombie Galacti Decks
I feel like Thanos on its own could be enough for Zombie Galacti to be good. Unfortunately, their Start of Game abilities will be randomized, meaning only half the games we’ll get to transform some of our Infinity Stones.
This forces us to build the deck with a lot of utility cards able to help during the course of the match, and then represent a power spike once transformed into Zombie Galacti.
Lockjaw and Blink naturally synergize with the Infinity Stones to help fetch the 7-cost out of our deck if need be.
We could also give Arishem a try, but I feel like that will be widely inconsistent :
If Start of game shenanigans aren’t your thing, we can look for a different high roll, with Khonshu representing a way to cheat out Zombie Galacti with a lot of power. Except for Morbius and maybe Colonel America, we have enough utility cards to target with the ability, so the 7-cost makes sense as a win condition.
Another possible high roll is to pair Zombie Galacti with Mister Negative, the 4-cost serving as both a discount and a power gain.
Last, there should be a way to build a more balance deck around Zombie Galacti, although it is quite difficult to fit everything within 12 slots.
In my opinion, Pixie is the best way to tackle the Zombie Galacti puzzle, so that will be my starting point. We obviously would like to avoid Iron Man and Gorr the God Butcher to be transformed, but most other cards in the deck represent a fine target :
