Snap Packs are limited pools of cards you can draw from instead of paying the full price for specific cards. For example, purchasing a specific Series 5 card costs 6,000 Collector’s Tokens, but the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack costs 5,000 tokens, and you can get random resources on top of your cards as well.
In order to determine which is the better deal, we need to do a bit of math. The goal is to figure out the percentage of getting a card you consider to be worth 6,000 Collector’s Tokens—and getting it at a discount. In order to find that number, you need to know how many cards in the Snap Pack you are interested in getting compared to how many are in the pool you are drawing from.
For example, if you have three targets, but you’re drawing from a 30 card bag, you only have a 10% chance to get one you want. Now, if that bag had only nine cards, your odds would increase 33% instead. Thanks to only featuring cards from the current and the previous season, the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack typically features a rather small pool of cards. Sure, a miss will be painful, as 5,000 tokens can be an entire week worth of resources. Still, keeping this Snap Pack relatively empty will represent a great way to get new cards at a discount in the future.
In this guide, I’ll help you figure out whether you should spend 6,000 Collector’s Tokens for a specific card, or open the 5,000 tokens Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack instead.
Which Cards are in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack?
At all times, you will find all Series 5 cards from the current and previous season in this pack. At the start of each season, Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack will be updated to welcome the first card of that season, while every card from two seasons prior will go to the Collector’s Series 5 Snap Pack.
Visions of the Future is leaving for the Collector’s Snap Pack while the new Arachnid Anarchy season cards join the party. Also, Zombie Scarlet Witch“]”]”]”]”]”]”]”] is now available with Tokens.

Which Cards are Worth 6,000 Collector’s Tokens?
Here’s where I would rank each card in the current meta:
| Tier | Cards |
| Tier 1 | |
| Tier 2 | • Zombie Scarlet Witch“]”]”]”]”]”] • Superior Spider-Man“]”]”]”]”]”] |
| Tier 3 | • Headpool • Zombie Mister Fantastic“]”]”]”]”]”] • Man-Spider |
| Tier 4 | • Colonel America |
| Tier 5 | • Zombie Galacti • Zombie Captain Marvel“]”]”]”]”]”] |
Cards in the first two tier are definitely worth their Collector’s Tokens while those on the third tier are good purchases if you are interested in running their specific archetype.
In the bottom two tiers, we find cards struggling to see play, either because their dedicated archetype isn’t doing well, or because they have not found a deck interested in their services yet.
When Should I Open the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack?
Zombie Scarlet Witch“]”]”]”]”]”]”]”] is a strong card at the helm of the Zombie Horde synergy. Then, anyone interested in running the Flexible Zombie archetype should go after the former Season pass, and Zombie Mister Fantastic“]”]”]”]”]”]”]”] as well.
Unfortunately, the rest of the cards from October have been disappointing, driving the value of the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack down quite a bit.
We kick off the new season with two additions, Superior Spider-Man“]”]”]”]”]”]”]”] and Man-Spider. Both cards look playable, although the 3-cost is much more flexible. I expect Man-Spider to be a Shuri type of card, able to generate a lot of points, but limited to specific play-patterns.
On the other end, Superior Spider-Man“]”]”]”]”]”]”]”] could become a staple in the metagame, helping various archetype gain one energy heading in the second half of a match.
