Snap Packs are limited pools of cards you can draw from instead of paying the full price for specific cards. For example, purchasing a specific Series 5 card costs 6,000 Collector’s Tokens, but the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack costs 5,000 tokens and the Collector’s Series 5 is 4,000 tokens.
In order to determine which is the better deal, we need to do a bit of math. The goal is to figure out the percentage of getting a card you consider to be worth 6,000 Collector’s Tokens—and getting it at a discount. In order to find that number, you need to know how many cards in the Snap Pack you are interested in getting compared to how many are in the full pool.
For example, if you have three targets but you’re drawing from a 30 card bag, you only have a 10% chance to get one you want. Now, if that bag had only nine cards, your odds would increase 33% instead. Obviously, this means the value of a Snap pack will be different for each player’s unique collection.
With the Collector’s Series 5 Snap Pack, you could get a card you want for 2,000 tokens less than its full price, which is a pretty nice deal if you’re missing some meta juggernauts. In this guide, I’ll help you figure out whether you should spend 6,000 tokens for a specific card or open the Collector’s Series 5 Snap Pack instead.
Which Cards are in the Collector’s Series 5 Snap Pack?
You will always find every Series 5 card that is not part of the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack (and that you do not already own). This represents quite a lot of cards, especially since Series 5 has one of the biggest pools to draw from.
At the start of November, we will welcome the cards released back in September.

Series 5 Card Tier List
The value of the Collector’s Series 5 Snap Pack feels pretty good at the moment, due to a balanced metagame allowing a lot of cards to see play. There are many cards worth 4,000 tokens, and a few on the extreme, worth a lot or almost nothing.
Then, I feel like this snap pack is a good target for someone with a decent reserve of tokens, able to open it multiple times. Considering the density, and the chance to possibly open two cards, it should be worth your tokens most of the time.
Now is the time to look at your collection and figure out which cards you already have and don’t have within this massive pool. The more cards you are missing from Tier 4 and 5, and the less value this Snap Pack has. On the other end, while we all want to open the top cards in the game, even one in Tier 3 is likely to be playable, although it might be more of a niche synergy.
This middle Tier is the tiebreaker in my opinion, as most cards there are tied to a specific archetype. Then, although they are playable, you might not be interested to run their associated deck.
