Collector’s Series 4 Snap Pack Guide – November

Snap Packs are the new way to collect cards in Marvel Snap. Basically, these are limited pools of cards you can draw from instead of paying the full price for specific cards. For example, purchasing a specific Series 4 card costs 3,000 Collector’s Tokens, but the Seasonal Series 4 Snap Pack costs 2,500 tokens and the Collector’s Series 5 is 2,000 tokens.

In order to determine which is the better deal, we need to do a bit of math. The goal is to figure out the percentage of getting a card you consider to be worth 3,000 Collector’s Tokens—and getting it at a discount. In order to find that number, you need to know how many cards in the Snap Pack you are interested in getting compared to how many are in the full pool.

For example, if you have three targets but you’re drawing from a 30 card bag, you only have a 10% chance to get one you want. Now, if that bag had only nine cards, your odds would increase 33% instead. Obviously, this means the value of a Snap pack will be different for each player’s unique collection.

With the Collector’s Series 4 Snap Pack, you could get a card for 1,000 Collector’s Tokens less than the typical 3,000 token value. However, you have to accept playing a bit of roulette depending on how many cards you already own from that particular pool.

Series 4 cards have been mostly nerfed in October, meaning the global value of this pool decreased a little. We still find some great performers from the current metagame, but there are also many more niche cards amongst Series 4.

Fortunately, the price of this Snap pack is relatively low at 2,000 Tokens. Then, it still represents a good way to grow a collection quickly, rather than digging into the more expensive Snap Packs that could set you back with a terrible pull.
