Best Venus Decks and Strategy Guide

Is the new card worth buying or trying your luck in Snap Packs? Read our guide and find some decks to try out on day 1 in here!

Venus is the Premium Season Pass card joining Marvel Snap for the June 2026 Season, Marvel Beach Bash. However, the card will also be obtainable immediately through the Seasonal Series 5 Snap pack. It is a 3-Cost, 3-Power card that reads:

When your cards in play are Empowered, give those cards an additional +1 Power.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.

Season Pass cards can only be obtained through purchasing the Season Pass they are attached to when they release. At the end of their season, Season Pass cards become Series 5, and can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as part of the daily rotation. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack during the season following their release.

Synergies

To have ties with the buff synergy, an iconic strategy in Marvel Snap, can be a blessing or a curse.
It is great because you know there is a competitive deck built for your ability already. Venus is a 3-cost with “+Power” written on it so she can knock on Silver Surfer’s door anytime. Thus, the card should not struggle to post solid metrics early on, as she will be tested in a competitive archetype.

However, your synergy has been good for a long time, meaning they didn’t need you in order to rack up cubes. In that context, Venus will have to earn her spot among the 12 cards in a buff oriented deck.

If she does, Venus will immediately become a part of the Marvel Snap competitive metagame. If she fails, the new 3-cost will enjoy a couple of days in the sun and then disappear in every one’s collection, alongside Nakia, Ironheart or some other buff oriented card we never play.

I’m afraid I’m leaning towards the second path for Venus. Indeed, I believe we have enough cards to buff, and the key to a successful Silver Surfer deck is to become more flexible, not beat their opponent by an even bigger margin when the draws align perfectly.

The problem with the new card is the “You cards in play” part of the ability. Not only we need to have Venus on the board, the empowered card also needs to be on the field. Plus, Ongoing abilities don’t count due to not being permanent buffs.

With those limitations, the likes of Captain Carter, Mother Askani, Surge or Venus. Instead, we would have to build our deck to play without hiding any information to our opponent.

I have no doubt Venus would represent a good amount of power if we play her early and then slam Silver Surfer plus Chameleon on turn six to grant a bonus 6 power to all our 3-cost cards in play. Yet, I’m also certain the opponent won’t stay in that game, unless they have a Cosmo or another way to derail that plan.

Unfortunately, this makes Venus a difficult card to leverage in my opinion, at least in the most obvious archetype based on her skill set. Instead, the new 3-cost will have to find other decks built around buffing cards. There are a good amount available and Venus will have an easier time earning a spot in those. However, the premium season pass might not post the same win and cube averages alongside within those archetypes.

The Verdict: Should You Get Venus?

The card will represent a good chunk of power for sure. However, Sebastian Shaw doesn’t see play in the best performing Silver Surfer decks for a reason : As long as you have enough points to win, it is better to improve your flexibility rather than your total power.
Venus isn’t flexible enough to be a long term inclusion in my opinion, but she might look good early on thanks to Jeff the Baby Dolphin!? being a great source of on-play buffs.
