Muse is the third Series 5 card joining Marvel Snap for the May 2026 Season, Daredevil: Crimson Twilight. It is a 3-Cost, 3-Power card that reads:
Ongoing: +3 Power for each location where one of your cards has been destroyed.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.
Synergies
Muse is a simple card rewarding us for destroying all over the place, and I love it!
The destroy synergy has not been a force in Marvel Snap for quite some time. Indeed, it is too easily eclipsed by other synergies, either able to develop the same amount of points more flexibly, or more resilient to Cosmo, always a popular card.
Muse won’t make Destroy more flexible. Actually, it might turn the synergy into an even more rigid machine due to the requirement to destroy on every location. Yet, it should also help bolster its points total, adding yet another high power card to the mix. Plus, this one does not require us to show our opponent we have it, like a Deadpool or Weapon X Wolverine. That is a fantastic upside, as it would allow us to pair Muse with Death on the last turn of play, possible adding two 12-power cards to our board, with some energy left as well.
With that said, I feel like Muse is definitely a good addition to the Destroy roster, and deserves to look into cards allowing to destroy on every location:

These three pair perfectly with Killmonger to get cards destroyed on multiple locations at once. They don’t make much sense alongside Deadpool or Nimrod, but see play in Dormammu decks.

For the Destroy decks focused on a specific synergy, there is still more than enough to grow Muse’s power. Indeed, we could ramp to get Nimrod out on turn four and have turn five plus 3 energy on turn six alongside Muse. Otherwise, Deadpool, X-23 and Wolverine are cheap cards we can simply destroy repeatedly to check each location as the game progresses.
These cards fall right into the “Destroy is not a flexible synergy” narrative, something Muse would not help with. However, rigidity is only a problem if your opponent can punish you for it. At least, Muse should raise the points total of its decks.
The Verdict: Should You Get Muse?
The limited nature of Muse, and the current state of the Destroy synergy leads me to believe the card unfortunately won’t impact the metagame much. However, it should be a solid addition to the destroy roster, even if its only contribution is to add more points to our total.
Maybe an Ongoing destroy deck will exist one day, with Muse and Knull at the helm, while Mystique or Prodigy copy their ability.
