Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List: November 25, 2024 – War of the Nine Realms Week 3

The Infinity League is opening up next week, so it's time to sharpen your skills with your favorite deck to grab an Infinity avatar! Check out the best decks heading into the competition here!

Welcome to our Marvel Snap Conquest Meta Tier List! Each week, we review the best decks in the ever-changing Marvel Snap Conquest meta.

This report is dedicated to the Conquest mode and lists the current best decks to run the gauntlet and grab your next Infinity avatar. We also provide a Ranked report, available around the middle of the week based on the latest updates, that highlights the best archetypes for that mode. Looking to figure out the impact of the newly released card or the latest balance changes in Conquest? This is the place to be!

If you are looking for more information about a deck in particular, check out our Archetypes pages, with detailed information about each of the household names in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Conquest Overview

Conquest didn’t feature the same diversity that the Ranked mode did this week. Indeed, heading into the most important week of the season for Conquest players, the proactive decks are leading the way—especially Discard and Arishem.

This duo is particularly difficult to overtake because they resist quite a lot of disruptive synergies. Shang-Chi and Shadow King don’t work against Discard; you need Red Guardian or Lady Deathstrike for Dracula. On the other end, Arishem bullies Mill, and Alioth on Turn 5 is scary against a lot of decks.

With that said, Conquest is, as always, a better place for the disruptive synergies, which the presence of Stature Darkhawk and Mill can attest to. There is a need to find some points to support your disruption, though, as Alioth and other protective card still appear in many decks.

Happy Tier List, everyone!

Disclaimer and Tier Explanations

In order to be featured here, a deck needs to hold a win rate above the 50% threshold over more than a hundred Conquest games.

In order to create this chart, den is using data from our Marvel Snap Tracker, as well as other available data online and his own expertise and opinion of respected players. If a deck showed great performances with a very limited presence in the meta, you can find it in the Silent Performers section. That section highlights decks with an excellent Win Rate, but too little of a sample size to be representative of their real strength.

Decks not good enough to be considered contenders but with a good representation will be ranked in Tier 3 in our chart. See those builds as decks that are good to know about, as you should face them when playing Marvel Snap. However, unless the meta changes or a new variation of the build emerges, these decks are a notch below the dominant ones in Tiers 1 and 2.

Silent Performer: Decks with a very little presence in the meta that still showcase a Cube Average and Win Rate worthy of a Tier 2 deck (or better). Oftentimes, these can be archetypes with some nice game play that have been left unchecked in the current environment, or decks on the rise that found a few good match ups to abuse.

Tier 1: Tier 1 represents decks with all the upsides we would be looking for to run the gauntlet. They have good match ups in the current meta, offer different play patterns during a match, and often have the ability for explosive or surprising turns. These should be decks worth investing into in order to climb for the coming week.
Win Rate > 60%

Tier 2: Tier 2 are very good decks but with a weakness holding them back – either not being as reliable in its draws as Tier 1 decks, countered by another popular deck, or still being a work in progress as you read this. A good pilot could probably take these and have the same results as with a Tier 1 deck, but their play patterns are more difficult to enact compared to the tier above.
Win Rate > 56%

Tier 3: This tier is made of decks that have a pervasive issue compared to Tier 1 or Tier 2 decks. Usually, Tier 3 will be a mix of decks on the rise that don’t have much data, old archetypes on the decline, decks that require substantial experience and/or knowledge to pilot properly, powerful decks that aren’t well positioned, or niche decks.
Win Rate > 52%

Budget: Decks that consist only of cards in Pool 1 and 2 that are still capable of competing with an experienced pilot in a similar Collection Level, Rank, and MMR range. See our matchmaking guide for more details.

In Conquest, Good Cards is not very popular for some reason. Maybe it’s because the Wiccan lists are as good at Snapping as they are to Snap against. Indeed, whenever you miss your early game, your opponent would be silly not to raise the stakes.

In this Thanos build, you (obviously) see less of the 4-Cost, but you almost always have it online when you do thanks to the Infinity Stones using your energy every turn. As such, upgrading your ability to play when Wiccan isn’t around might be better, especially when you consider that your opponent will often leave when you have it.

I would look at this as a more balanced way to play Wiccan, which might be more suited to the Conquest mode anyway. That’s what the results over a small sample size tell me, at least.

Firmly installed in the competitive scene, Discard is gaining momentum week after week—especially in places you want to farm something (like tickets in Conquest). In the past, the deck was too predictable to play against. Your opponent knew almost everything they needed in order to make a decision against you, which is a very bad way to play Conquest.

With Gambit and Malekith, Discard gained some new Snap opportunities outside a big Morbius or Dracula, in addition to a reason to stay when the opponent thinks they have you in a corner. Indeed, pulling Strong Guy with Malekith is 15 power for 4 energy, and that’s usually enough to focus most of your resources on another location to win the game. For example, this would allow you to play MODOK into a big Apocalypse just for points, completely ignoring Dracula to throw your opponent off.

This particular list posted a 67.5% Win Rate, but the archetype as a whole has almost 1000 games at 60% or more.

Potential Additions

Grand Master and Strong Guy are flexible. Fenris Wolf and Moon Knight are a possible duo, or you could go for more strong Discard abilities like Lady Sif and Swarm.

The more the meta focuses on strong standalone cards, the better Loki becomes. With Arishem already proving its worth as a great foundation, giving its best mate a favorable environment can only lead to a very strong deck. There is always something better than Arishem to play, but it is easily the best back-up plan in the game.

Potential Additions

Copycat, Enchantress, and other strong standalone or counter cards fit perfectly with what Arishem is trying to do.

Tier 2

This deck didn’t come back immediately with the release of Fenris Wolf, but it certainly gained some of the momentum it lost after the changes to Black Widow and Rockslide. Conquest is naturally the first place to see Stature Darkhawk emerge, as this mode has always been where disruptive decks thrive.

For now, the 58% Win Rate indicates this is a good deck, but it’s not at the level it was before the two nerfs. It is definitely playable for those who missed it, though, especially if you’re seeing a lot of Arishem.

Potential Additions

Spider-Ham and Grand Master make sense if you want to add some extra disruption or repeat your early abilities.

Sera Control

The best deck in the game leading up to the last OTA, Sera Control has been slowly losing momentum since Agent Venom got nerfed. The list is still the same, and a 56% Win Rate isn’t bad by any means. However, the fact that this is a well known archetype in combination with the lower power ceiling seems to limit how strong Sera Control can be moving forward.

In a meta with a ton of Alioth, maybe Sera Control needs to take a break and wait for its moment to come back stronger.

Potential Additions

Rogue could replace Sage if Red Guardian isn’t enough to shut down Ongoing decks.

Tier 3

10 Power

With a 55% Win Rate, the 10 Power archetype shows it can still compete despite a couple of nerfs. However, the deck can’t rely on just slamming power on the table to win games anymore. A hot start will often be met with a one cube Retreat—or worse, a four cube loss to a Shang-Chi or something that can overpower you. Plus, whenever you don’t have Zabu on Turn 1 or Surtur on Turn 3, you are likely to get Snapped because this deck isn’t flexible at all.

The challenge with this deck is to bait your opponent into believing they can counter you and then snipe their counter card with Armor or Cosmo, or completely remove their points with Shadow King.

Potential Additions

Typhoid Mary and Alioth are other 10 power cards you could consider.

Mill

Disruptive decks are much stronger in Conquest, hence why Mill found a spot here even though it couldn’t in the Ranked report. Sure, a 55% Win Rate doesn’t make it a menace (especially because Thanos and Arishem basically don’t care about most of what you’re trying to do). If the meta takes a turn, this could become a top contender. Until then, it is just a decent synergy.

Potential Additions

Grand Master and more annoying cheap cards (like Iceman or Silver Sable) can help give you a more explosive early game. Also, Beast can provide extra support to the Mill package.

Closing Words

Flexibility has always been a very important part of playing Conquest, and the performance of a deck always dips if the opponent knows everything about it. Discard is the perfect example of a deck that is performing so much better now that Malekith can hide some key information about your points total.

Obviously, Arishem is the prime example of a good Conquest deck because the deck changes its card almost every round. However, we’ve seen what happens when Arishem gets a little too popular: Darkhawk and Cassandra Nova come in to crash the party.

As such, it is more important to find a deck that is able to play consistently across every round than the raw power level of the deck. This limits how many times you’ll give your opponent a cube for free, as well as the chances of a certain match up being unwinnable.

As usual, find me on the Marvel Snap Zone community Discord to discuss the report, or you can follow my Twitter page where I share decks and biased opinions about the game.

Good Game Everyone.
