Juggernaut, Horseman of War is the first Series 5 card joining Marvel Snap for the March 2026 Season, , X-Men: Origins of Apocalypse. It is a 2-Cost, 2-Power card that reads: Objective: Have 7 different Powers among your other cards in play +6 Power.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.

Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.

Synergies

Juggernaut, Horseman of War is a rather simple card to understand : It will grow to be one of the biggest 2-cost if we have 7 different powers among our other cards.

To accomplish that objective, two things need to happen:

  • We need to get 8 cards in play, which isn’t so simple with only 9 drawn from our deck. Most likely, we will have to use cards adding a token to the board, as to progress our objective faster.
  • Juggernaut, Horseman of War needs to stay safe from the Red Guardian and such cards able to turn it off before the objective is complete. While we could just keep it in hand and play in the later stages, it is a 2-cost and we might not have other ways to use 2 energy early in a match.

When both of these happen, we get [2/8], which is a solid power to cost. Unfortunately, I feel like it is far from enough for Juggernaut, Horseman of War to be considered a good card. At best, I’m fine calling it a high power flexible card, with an issue to grab priority.

if we look at the power, Chamber, Thena, Goliath or Moondragon easily compete with the new 2-cost. The upside to Juggernaut, Horseman of War is the fact we don’t have to slot the card into a specific synergy, as long as get 7 different costs by the end of the game. Compared to the cards I listed, the new card has the easiest condition to complete.

Unfortunately, the others have the benefit of growing to an uncertain amount power, keeping our opponent in the dark regarding the exact power they might have to match. Plus, Chamber can be activated early for priority, while there is no chance Juggernaut, Horseman of War is at 8 power before turn five.

The whole point of a flexible card in Marvel Snap to be a consideration by a large amount of archetypes, which will use it for points, priority, or just to fill their curve. Juggernaut, Horseman of War has a flexible objective, but apart from being playable at any stage of the match, the card isn’t very flexible in terms of power. It will always be a 2-power card early, and an 8-power card by the end of the match.

Except if I needed specifically a 2-cost card in a deck lacking some points, I don’t really see where to fit the new card. Indeed, there are plenty of cards able to grow their power and without the objective attached to it.

The Verdict: Should You Get Juggernaut, Horseman of War?

I don’t really see anything special about Juggernaut, Horseman of War. It is an objective card, which fits the theme of the season, and it packs a good amount of points for its cost. Yet, once a card synergize with its deck, a lot of 2-cost cards will equal 8 or more power by the end of the match.

To be honest, I would rather run Cable or Iron Patriot than Juggernaut, Horseman of War in any flexible deck at the moment. Plus, the objective keyword has no specific synergy attached to it. Take Dazzler for example, who can also grow to be a [2/8], but can also benefit from a flurry of Ongoing related abilities.

Lin Lie got buffed because it wasn’t enough raw power for a rather simple condition. I foresee Juggernaut, Horseman of War will follow that same route in the future.

Pre-Release Score:

Rating: 2 out of 10.

Juggernaut, Horseman of War Decks

There honestly isn’t a deck I want to run with Juggernaut, Horseman of War included if I have access to the other 2-costs, so I did some digging. The only upside I could find is to play without priority, yet still have a high-power card at the end of the game. That makes a Sera miracle type of deck a logical landing spot.

Sera Control with Shang-Chi, Enchantress and other reactive cards is too weak in the current Marvel Snap, but we can replicate something similar with Miracle Surfer. Arguably, I’d rather play Jennifer Kale to improve the deck’s ability to get Sera plus Onslaught in play. Magik, Killmonger or Chameleon are also good 3-costs to consider, but this is Juggernaut, Horseman of War’s article.

Miracle Surfer might make Juggernaut decent
