Ezekiel Sims is the second Series 5 cards joining Marvel Snap for the November 2025 Season, Arachnid Anarchy. It is a 2-Cost, 2-Power card that reads: After you play a card with higher Power here, give this +2 Power and move this to another location.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.
Strengths and Weaknesses
The new 2-cost card is sort of a Werewolf By Night, except it is much harder to scale. Indeed, while we should have no problem growing it to a [2/6], which is already a pretty good power-to-cost ratio, it gets much harder past that point. Plus, Ezekiel Sims forces us to play on its location, which can be a detriment for priority’s sake, on top of conflicting with certain location. Furthermore, it will be very difficult to grow its power twice in the same turn considering we don’t know where it will move next.
With that in mind, the new card could carry more restrictions than it provides power, at least if we aim to get Ezekiel Sims outside the realm of a typical 2-cost card power.
Then, I feel like the new card will have to find powerful pairings in order to be a solid card. Fortunately, there are a few to consider :

Ezekiel Sims will gain power if we play Superior Spider-Man on its location, perfect to trigger the 3-cost and play with one more energy for the rest of the match.

With one extra energy starting from turn three, Arishem should be able to play bigger cards to keep growing Ezekiel Sims turn after turn.

Sauron 10 Power is one of the few decks with a curve able to grow Ezekiel Sims turn every turn, effectively turning it into a [2/10].
The Verdict: Should You Get Ezekiel Sims?
Overall, Ezekiel Sims doesn’t sport a great Benefit-Cost ratio, and should end up as a niche card because of it. Yet, if those niches can make it a [2/8] card able to contest annoying locations, it could be a fine addition to certain synergies.
However, it is important to note the card will release in a metagame with Mercury being a popular card as well, which should limit Ezekiel Sims even more.
Pre-Release Score:
Ezekiel Sims Decks
There aren’t many decks available for Ezekiel Sims to be honest, as the way the card scales is quite restrictive in my opinion, especially with most counter or disruptive cards unable to help past the first or second step.
Most likely, Ezekiel Sims will have to settle with being a decent situational card, in decks already featuring the right cards to grow its power to a minimum of 6, hopefully 8 on average.
