Zombie Mister Fantastic is the second Series 5 cards joining Marvel Snap for the September 2025 Season, Undead Horde. It is a 2-Cost, 2-Power card that reads: On Reveal: Horde +2. Activate: Give 4 of your created cards +1 Power.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.
Strengths and Weaknesses
A blank [2/5] considering its Horde +2 on top of the Activate granting another power to our Zombie Horde, Zombie Mister Fantastic is a pretty sweet prospect for priority’s sake early in a match.
It will probably need those side applications, since the Zombie Horde synergy has been catastrophic so far, and likely needs the other cards to release to possibly click. Then, until we can try the entire Zombie gang, let’s discuss the synergies able to grant Zombie Mister Fantastic.

The Mad Titan and his most popular pairing make sense with every part of Zombie Mister Fantastic. Indeed, the Zombie Horde will discount Mockingbird, while the Activate will buff the Infinity Stones.
There is a bit of anti-synergy with Strange Supreme, another inclusion in that synergy, who would remove the Stones from the board. Maybe Sam Wilson Captain America will reclaim its spot in that deck as a result.
While we are on the topic of Thanos and Mockingbird, I guess it is safe to throw Arishem in that mix as well. Eventually, Thanos will rise to be its own archetype again, once we have enough power not to need the high roll potential from Arishem. I feel Zombie Mister Fantastic could be a step in that direction, but the new 2-cost could also just end up as a standalone fine card in Thanos Arishem, since it would be a [2/7] in that deck.

Another archetype with plenty of 1-cost created cards plus Mockingbird is Kazoo. Just like Thanos, that deck is able to leverage all part of Zombie Mister Fantastic, and tends to love priority as well.
By the way, if we swap Squirrel Girl with Mysterio, we have another package of cards used at the moment. Plus, that one actually uses Zombie Scarlet Witch as well !

Let’s get away from Mockingbird to look at other archetypes designed to create cards. The best one currently in the game is Iron Hand. It lost a bit of popularity lately, but remains an excellent performer. So much so it might not need the services of Zombie Mister Fantastic when we look at the quality of its 2-cost cards already in the deck.
However, considering Zombie Mister Fantastic can be used to grab priority, there could be some sort of hybrid to think of, using the power granted by Victoria Hand to also support that proactive play style.
Looking at the data, I found this deck, which should be able to welcome Zombie Mister Fantastic :
The Verdict: Should You Get Zombie Mister Fantastic ?
The fact we can use Zombie Mister Fantastic both for synergistic purposes, or to help with priority early on, makes the new card quite appealing in my opinion.
Sure, it will suffer from the same problem as Zombie Scarlet Witch and Zombie Giant Man, both having no impact on the metagame so far. Yet, I feel like the 2-cost has the highest chance to see play before the other Zombie Horde cards due to its synergies with the likes of Mockingbird, Thanos, or Hawkeye Kate Bishop
Pre-Release Score:
Zombie Mister Fantastic Decks
Mockingbird allowed plenty of cards to shine in the past, some much worse than Zombie Mister Fantastic in my opinion. Then, there are a few decent performers we can try the new card in, simply as a good standalone 2-cost synergizing with a few cards in the build.
The other direction is to use the card for is priority, with a touch of created cards still, alongside Victoria Hand and the cheap card creators.

Conclusion
Overall, Zombie Mister Fantastic is the best of the Zombie Horde cards to release yet, and finally one we should be able to use even without the entire package available.
It is very likely the card will get carried by already strong archetypes. Still, earning a spot in competitive 12 cards builds is already enough to be considered a good addition to the Marvel Snap roster.
I hope this review of the new card was helpful. You can find everyone on the Marvel Snap Zone team in our community discord to have a chat or ask any questions.
Good Game Everyone!
