Weapon X Wolverine and Weapon H are extremely similar except for the synergy they belong with, destroy and discard. In those, both cards are included for points, and demand to repeat the same pattern to grow their power or reduce their cost.
It is only natural to see both cards post very similar results : Excellent in the lower ranks but struggling once in the more competitive waters. In both environments, Weapon H is doing better. Arguably, a card you get to keep in your hand will be harder to play against than one growing in the face of your opponent. However, this could simply be due to opponents staying in the game because they haven’t lost against it enough, or Discard being superior to Destroy in this metagame.

Weapon H

Weapon H follows the same pattern as most one-trick-pony cards in the past. When one looks at the lower ranks, or even the global picture, the card is insane. Both metrics are incredible, with the Win and Cube rates pointing at a card positively impacting its deck.
However, once we check the infinite ranks only, the numbers are much more reasonable, almost average.
This phenomenon is very common for the cube average of a card, as high ranked players tend to play more carefully, retreating whenever in doubt, while those not caring so much about their rank will stay in more games. However, losing about 4% win rate typically means the card is one-dimensional, and requires a specific environment to perform.
Discard has always been among the best high-scoring strategies in Marvel Snap. Yet, it also is known for being fragile whenever Morbius or Dracula are taken out, or the opponent manages to perfectly time Cosmo or such card. More disruption combined with opponents not giving you cubes for curiosity’s sake will detail most synergistic archetypes.
Unfortunately, Weapon H seems to fit one deck only at the moment. So either Discard works, or the new 7-cost won’t be a part of the metagame.
Great card to climb, fine one once at the top.

Weapon X Wolverine Performance

At all ranks, the numbers for the season pass card are still solid, but the Infinite Ranks look too tough for it. Arguably, this is the same situation as Weapon H, except the player base had two weeks to adapt to Weapon X Wolverine.
The destroy synergy has been fairly irregular in the past, so it could bounce back in future weeks. There aren’t any new releases to help Weapon X Wolverine this season. However, an OTA pushing 1-cost cards, Clog, or rewarding a more flexible type of Destroy deck could help the season pass.

Not only both cards make sense in one synergy, they also are limited to one deck within discard or destroy builds.
In that context, the best we can do is find the optimal way to build that archetype, or investigate how to edge it against specific match-ups. Neither Discard nor Destroy are known for being good at countering their opponent, so it is probably better to picture how to dodge possible counter cards rather than remove synergistic pieces to run counters of our own.
