Best Weapon H Decks and Strategy Guide

Is the new card worth buying or trying your luck in Snap Packs? Read our guide and find some decks to try out on day 1 in here!

Weapon H is the second Series 5 cards joining Marvel Snap for the December 2025 Season, Weapon X. It is a 7-Cost, 14-Power card that reads: When Discarded: Put this back with -2 Cost.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.

Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.

Strengths and Weaknesses

After the season pass card came in as a support to the Destroy synergy, Discard is also getting a bit of love with Weapon H.
To be honest, I’m not sure if there is a lot to analyse here : Weapon H joins Khonshu and Apocalypse as high-cost Discard cards one can build around. If we get to discard it four times over the course of the game, we win the big prize : a [0/14]. Otherwise, we need to find which play patterns can function when Weapon H costs 1 or 3. Yes, even if a [5/14] is a Red Skull without the annoying ability, we aren’t playing Weapon H to discard it just once.

Corvus Glaive gets us to 7 energy on turn 6, allowing to play Weapon H alongside Khonshu if we discarded the 7-cost at least 3 times. This would require a ton of discard, as it means discarding Khonshu as well, on top of another card for Khonshu to bring back. That is 7 discards total, a difficult quest but opening a very explosive turn 6.

Dracula is struggling to be a safe investment presently, too often turned off by CosmicGhostRider or simply ignored by our opponent. This one is risky, as it implies keeping Dracula in Hand until turn six, to play the Vampire alongside a 3-cost Weapon H with our 7 energies.
There are other patterns to consider as well :

  • We can still drop Dracula early on, and be flexible in future turns.
  • We can plan on bringing Dracula back with Khonshu if we discarded it.
  • We can work towards a 1-cost Weapon H to play alongside Apocalypse if Dracula didn’t show up.

Now, the question is whether these two possibilities can coexist or does it represent too many discards to make it work?

There is another synergy we can discuss, but I have a hard time picturing this one as a viable deck.

Sword Master was buffed to a [3/7] not so long ago, probably as a way to grant more support to Weapon H. Then, a 14-power discard target naturally connects with Black Knight to generate a large Ebony Blade.
The problem is that this doesn’t really work with Agatha Harkness, the typical high-power card paired with Black Knight. Indeed, Sword Master cannot discard the 6-cost, while Weapon H would be targeted by Lady Sif. Plus, Weapon H wants to be discarded multiple times, not just once and then brought back with GhostRider.
For this to work, we probably would need to rework that concept a lot, or go from scratch with Agatha Harkness out of the deck.

Considering Black Knight has mostly been an occasional inclusion in Hela lately, this one will be very tricky to figure out and build.

The Verdict: Should You Get Weapon H?

Weapon H is limited to the discard synergy, and likely to certain decks inside that synergy. Indeed, I don’t really see a point running the card in Hela over Skaar, since the Goddess of Death brings our discarded 7-cost back.
Then, I feel there is only one archetype for Weapon H, which naturally drives its overall grade down. For Discard Dracula enjoyer, this is a must pick-up.

Rating: 4 out of 10.

Weapon H Decks

There are only two ways to build for Weapon H in my opinion : We believe it can coexist with Dracula and Apocalypse, for example with Khonshu bringing Dracula back if we happen to discard the 4-cost. Or we remove Dracula and Apocalypse to focus on Khonshu and Weapon H in a more tempo oriented build.

As for the Black Knight plus Sword Master direction, here is my original draft, but there is definitely more work and testing to be done, if that is even a potential deck :

Quinjet, the Collector and Helicarrier is another package to consider, but filling our hand would make it even harder to discard Weapon H enough for the discount to be appealing.
Overall, this feels like a lot of work to gain a mere 2-power compared to playing Agatha Harkness and be much more flexible with our deck afterwards.
