This week? The Top 5 Craziest Plays With Mobius M. Mobius and Wave When Only You Have Them!

And hey, you know me, let’s also do a deck for each combo.
5. Ronan the Accuser and Master Mold

Ronan the Accuser decks have long been, at best, a tier 2, and honestly, generally much lower. These decks often run Wave as a way to trap the opponent’s cards in hand at the end of the game. Well, what if you could do that and still add cards to their hand? Ronan might finally actually be worth it, right? Master Mold is the only two-cost card that does what we need here.
You may be asking why that’s better than the play now where you can Master Mold on turn 5 with Wave. Well, that’s going to put your Mobius at a pretty severe risk of Rogue or Enchantress. You can avoid that by just dropping both Wave and Mobius on 5 – 6 power isn’t great here, but it’s also not terrible, to be followed by Master Mold and Ronan.
If you do need to drop Mobius early though, Ronan with Shadow King also seems pretty darn good!
Let’s live in a perfect world for this.
Ideal Play Pattern:
- Turn 1: Skip.
- Turn 2: Mobius M. Mobius
- Turn 3: Crystal
- Turn 4: Maximus
- Turn 5: Wave and Master Mold
- Turn 6: Ronan and Shadow King
Unless your opponent is running
4. Demon, Titania, and Alioth

Demon from The Hood and Titania are 11 power for 2-energy. That’s pretty hard to beat, but, you’ll need to lose priority. Luckily, the perfect priority losing deck already exists – the Junk archetype, and it already wants to run The Hood and Titania for various shenanigans.
If you add Alioth in, that’s the ability to lock one lane totally up with a 4-cost Alioth, then add 11 to another lane. I’m honestly unsure just how that gets beat, so if the combo is easy to pull off, get ready to see it everywhere.
This one has an absolute ton of options!
Play Pattern:
- Turn 1: Nebula or The Hood.
- Turn 2: Mobius M. Mobius
- Turn 3: Debrii or Green Goblin
- Turn 4: Sentry (or Goblin and Titania to ruin a lane for the opponent)
- Turn 5: Wave and Viper or Carnage
- Turn 6: Alioth, Demon, Titania
3. Evolved Hulk and Evolved Misty Knight
Having extra energy is pretty good for High Evolutionary decks, and these all run Wave anyway, so why not combine that with Mobius to go over the top? This play gives Evolved Hulk 2 power, adds 2 from Evolved Misty Knight plus the one from her ability AND will leave an extra energy for Sunspot and Evolved Cyclops.
Sunspot could be in the Misty spot here – any one cost card could, but in a High Evolutionary deck, there’s no real need to reinvent the wheel – just play with the insanely strong cards you already have.
Ideal Play Pattern:
- Turn 1: Nebula, Sunspot, Misty Knight
- Turn 2: Mobius M. Mobius
- Turn 3: Storm
- Turn 4: Cyclops
- Turn 5: Wave + Sunspot or Misty Knight
- Turn 6: Hulk + Sunspot or Misty Knight
2. Galactus on 4

Mobius has one very specific way in which it counters Galactus. If you Wave and they have Mobius, Galactus is staying as a 6-coster. That’s tough, but it’s equally true that if you Mobius then Wave, your Galactus is very, VERY likely to go off. Their expensive cards won’t be cheaper, so unless they can stop your Galactus with one four-cost card, he’s triggering. Given that Alioth is now in the game, the deck is absolutely disgusting at winning once Galactus happens.
Ideal Play Pattern:
- Turn 1: Pass
- Turn 2: Mobius M. Mobius
- Turn 3: Wave
- Turn 4: Galactus
- Turn 5: Devil Dinosaur
- Turn 6: Alioth
1. Death and Doctor Doom, Aero, or Alioth

DeathWave was the best deck in the game at global launch and remained a staple of the meta until Wave was finally nerfed to no longer work with Death. Well, if only you have Mobius M. Mobius, you can go back to abusing the crap out of last-turn death with other powerful cards. It’s not going to happen often with so many MMMirrors, but when it does…
- Turn 1: Yondu or Squirrel Girl
- Turn 2: Bucky Barnes
- Turn 3: Venom or Deathlok
- Turn 4: Killmonger
- Turn 5: Wave and Mobius M. Mobius
- Turn 6: Death + a 6-Cost card
