Spider-Man Noir is the third Series 5 cards joining Marvel Snap for the November 2025 Season, Arachnid Anarchy. It is a 4-Cost, 6-Power card that reads: On Reveal: If your other cards in play cost exactly 8 total, add the top card of your deck here. Set its Power to 8.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Series 5 cards can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as the latest Seasonal Spotlight card. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack for 5,000 Collector’s Tokens during their season and the following one.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Spider-Man Noir is a Jubilee on steroids, with a very specific condition in order to reap the rewards. Indeed, our other cards need to cost exactly 8 when the 4-cost reveals.
Already, I can see how that requirement is going to drive us crazy:
On top of locations ruining our plans, we also have to account for our opponent:

No wonder why Second Dinner changed Debrii to limit the ability to clog your opponent. That synergy bullies the new card, Spider-Man Noir. Plus, getting our cards destroyed is another concern to keep in mind.
Let’s pretend none of these issues happen, and we can actually control the cost of our other cards in play. What would be the best way to get to eight total by turn four?
Over the first three turns, we only have six energy available, meaning we need to find a way to add two more to that total in order to reach eight:

These three cards add exactly two to our total cost on the board, meaning we can reach eight with a simple 1-2-3 curve.
If we wanted to get creative, there are other cards to explore:

Swarm is a 2-cost, meaning we can get from 6 to 8 if we manage to discard it on turn one or two and play one of our 0-cost Swarm (it will still count as a 2-cost once in play) on turn three or four, before Spider-Man Noir reveals.
Wolverine would also work well, as the 2-cost summons itself when discarded. Proxima Midnight would add 4 to our total, but we could reach 8 with a 1 and a 3, or a double 2 then.
Here are some other options to manipulate our card cost total on the board:

Let’s move on to step 2: Which cards do we want to summon with Spider-Man Noir?
That is much easier to figure out, as plenty of cards have been associated with power buffs in the past. However, it would be great if some could also serve to set Spider-Man Noir up in case we draw them early. After all, we draw seen seven of our twelve total cards by turn four.
Obviously, most cards with a base power below 8 would be fine targets, but some have the ability to win a location almost on their own when buffed to eight power:

From this list, only Mister Sinister and H.E.R.B.I.E. help manipulate our total cost on the board. However, 3-cost cards also contribute to the cost condition, except for Brood who represents a 9-cost due to its Broodlings.
The Verdict: Should You Get Spider-Man Noir?
The new 4-cost looks fantastic when it clicks. Indeed, Spider-Man Noir is a [4/14] with lots of possible high-rolls associated to it. In that regard, the card could be compared to Gwenpool, one of Marvel Snap’s finest 4-cost cards.
However, for all those promises, Spider-Man Noir also carries many risks to just fall flat on its back. A location summons a card, your opponent clogs you, destroys one of your cards, plays Cosmo on your Spider-Man Noir… The list of issues one has to keep in mind is too long for me to call this a safe purchase.
High-risk, High-reward card.
Pre-Release Score:
Spider-Man Noir Noir Decks
I’m sure there are many more patterns to reach 8 total cost by turn four, and we will likely need to be flexible in our energy usage with Locations impacting the count anyway. Still, here are some decks designed to play Spider-Man Noir on turn four, at least allowing to assess whether the card is worth build around:
How to reach 8 total cost:
- America Chavez → Mister Sinister → 3-cost Card
- Mister Sinister → Luna Snow
- Forge or H.E.R.B.I.E. plus two 3-Cost cards
- H.E.R.B.I.E. summons a Rock plus Forge and a 3-cost card.
How to reach 8 total cost:
- Ant Man → Mister Sinister → Patriot
- Squirrel Girl → Dazzler → Patriot
- Ant Man → Dazzler → Debrii
Squirrel Girl or Debrii plus spending all our energy over the first three turns gets us to 8 total.
Wolverine or Swarm plus spending all our energy over the first three turns gets us to 8 total.
