Good morning all! It’s Friday, so let’s do something special! I’m going to spend this article covering the Top 10 decks right now in Marvel Snap. On this site, you get the legendary den’s weekly Tier Lists, which are entirely data-driven. This will not be that. Let’s discuss what that is, but if you’d like a video on this list with full turn-by-turn guides and card replacements… this is the video for you!
This Tier List is my opinion based on top meta gameplay. Some viewers will ask, “if these are not top performing meta decks by the data, why should I care about them?” The answer is simple: the majority of decks proliferate downward from the top meta players. Most of the best deck builders are top meta players, and decks at that level are built to counter each other so the meta ends up spiraling downward through the Ladder.
These 10 decks are all Top Tier and presented in no particular order.
Finally, I’m not doing turn-by-turn breakdowns or card replacements for this article. If you’re interested in that (and two bonus decks), be sure to check out the video above!
The Top 10
1. Fudge Scream
There are two decks in Marvel Snap that are absolutely and without question Tier 1. Scream decks, in all their varieties, are one of those two. This deck from Fudge is influenced by an olderScream Connoisseur list, as Scream decks can now either be classic, all in on Scream and opponent movement, or hybrid tech decks built to beat the meta that the weekly release schedule creates. The aforementioned Scream Connoisseur, has in fact, moved on to yet another Scream list, this one:
With this list, Connoisseur has hit rank 6. Notably, only three cards in the list trigger scream, but at +4 each, that’s still up a 2-14. Added in, this has synergy with Ajax, who between Hazmat and Scream can end up anywhere from a 5-10 to a 5-20.
Whether Ajax or regular, Scream is the best!
2. Xunzzz Surfer
Xunzzz, the teenage Marvel Snap Prodigy, has brought back Sera Surfer – our other Tier 1 list for this week. We covered this list, at length, yesterday, so instead of repeating everything said there, check it out.
3. Derek Thanos
Derek is currently in a war for first on the Infinite Leaderboard with the returning former rank 1 player Xunzzz. Derek has been playing this variety of Thanos. I’m not sure it’s better than the Control version, but both that and this Ongoing Zoo list are definitely top tier.
This version of Thanos forgoes Control to put out points using cheap cards. Four of Thanos‘s six Infinity Stones are Ongoing cards, so they buff up Goliath and are, in turn, buffed by Spectrum. Ultimately, that’s what this list is about—low-power cards that scale up to win games. Mockingbird, Speed, Sam Wilson, Dazzler, and Ant Man all get far bigger than their costs and far bigger than opponents expect, which allows this deck to steal cubes.
If you’re interested in that Control Thanos list, here’s a version that’s Rank 7:
4. Sizer Move Bounce
Sizer was #1 again in March, and it was with Bounce Move again.
The deck took a week long backseat when Firehair was everywhere since with her came Killmonger, making this annoying to play. The Ongoing meta coming on the heels of Khonshu has left Killmonger a distant memory. This is, once more, one of the best decks in Marvel Snap (although the skill required to play it often keeps its play rate down).
This deck is simple in concept. You have three scalers: Human Torch, Dagger, and Vulture. You use cards to move them so they grow, then you either bounce them to avoid tech cards, copy them with Frigga, or both. Rinse, repeat, win.
5. Xunzz – Small Good Havok
Getting back to Xunzzz, the other list he’s been playing is this one. Another old list, plenty of top players are using this, notably #1 Xunzzz and #4 Chamo.
This list leverages scalers, with no cards above 3-Cost. That means that it can play multiple cards each turn, triggering Thena, and using cards like Sage, Cassandra Nova, and Havok to steal lanes. Those are all balanced by their 0-Cost, but Agent Venom and Bast amp them up, while the control from cards like Juggernaut and Red Guardian steal games.
This has been top tier for like 6-months – it’s severely underrated.
6. Alexander Issac Sauron Skaar
It took us awhile to figure out who made this, but it was our friend, AlexanderIssac!
Sauron gives this deck access to a ton of powerful plays way ahead of curve. Because of its presence, you can play Ebony Maw, Starbrand, Typhoid Mary, and Red Skull without downside. If you miss Sauron, Enchantress works well enough for all but Maw, while also being the perfect tech card for this week.
The only card I’m not sold on here is actually Surtur. I believe Juggernaut or Shang-Chi may be better, but there’s nothing wrong with running a [3/9] while we figure that out.
7. Roram Affliction
The last of the A-Tier decks, Roram Affliction can put up enough points to crush absolutely anything. The goal here is very simple – play whatever early, and on turn 5 get Hazmat and a move. This is also doable with Laufey and Grandmaster, by the way. At that point, the last turn is Ajax, Abomination, and Miles Morales. It falls apart to Mobius M Mobius or Luke Cage, but it can beat anything else. You’re welcome.
8. Chamo Hand
Along with the Havok list above, Chamo has been rocking with a low-to-the-ground Victoria Hand list. It’s the closest list to Tier 2, but without tech it’s VERY reliant on Victoria Hand or generated cards being useful. Those are power spikes more often than you think, but it’s a high skill cap play that can be tough to pull off. Sometimes though, often even, you see Victoria Hand and good enough generated cards – and this is excellent.
9. Roram Infinity Ultron
We’ll finish up with Weekend Mission lists. once more visiting with Roram, who has the best Infinity Ultron list.
And this list is wild. It combines several different decks. Infinity Ultron in a package with Luna Snow is plenty effective, but we need extra stuff to do with the Stones. Roram, then, combines Silver Surfer and Victoria Hand to buff the stones. Of course, those are expensive, so we go with Quinjet and Ravonna Rennslayer to help. The latter leads to the adding of Iron Man and Sage, but the former uses Snowguard, giving access to more 3-Cost cards for Surfer that are generated for Hand. Moonstone, of course, ties it together, making your generated 3s cost 1… and we have the best Infinity Ultron list, even if it doesn’t really care about that card pretty often.
10. Safetyblade Flex Tape
We’ll finish this week with our own Safetyblade and the only good Captain Carter deck.
This deck is about abuses Hope Summers, Elsa Bloodstone, Galacta, and Gwenpool, When those cards hit, you have enough power to compete against most decks. The issue, however, is not those decks or games, but rather the games opponents go way over the top. That’s the use of Carter here – as hit by any of the buff cards, she can add enough power to give this deck enough to really compete.
That’s this week’s top 10 decks. Please check back daily for more articles and the YouTube for at least one video every day!
