Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
Decks with Infinity Ultron
Okay, two days in, I just don’t like this card. We aren’t covering it today in a real way – the Silver Surfer deck we talked about doesn’t use him, but Infinity Ultron has too many problems.
First, a 5-6 is just too small. That’s barely bigger than Sera, and Sera is a game-warpingly powerful effect. I need to ramp into Infinity Ultron to make him worth it, then, and I’d rather ramp into a better card or just not bother with giving my opponent the extra energy from Luna Snow. That’s another problem by the way – to make the card work at all, you need Luna Snow, another Series 5 card.
And when you do get Infinity Ultron down, he’s still often underwhelming. The Infinity Space Stone and Infinity Soul Stone are just usually bad. Infinity Mind Stone and Infinity Time Stone can be great, but are usually too high variance, and they require a lot of space, as does the Infinity Reality Stone, meaning that any type of clog – from incidental Squirrels to an opponent’s Acid Arrow can utterly ruin your game. Even the best Stone, Infinity Power, is only giving me a 5-12, but I’m paying 8 for 5-14 stats. That’s Legion and Sage, but so much more work.
This card needs a buff.

Xunzzz, the 16-year-old Marvel Snap prodigy, looks like he’s on his way to his third #1. He’s playing the same Small Good Cards Havok list we talked about, but his other #1 deck is a classic – Sera Surfer!
Sera has fallen out of favor in a lot of Silver Surfer builds in favor of just running Hope Summers, but that pattern takes away one of Surfer’s better old plays – Forge -> Brood -> Absorbing Man. Adding Sera gives us back that power play, and Luna Snow lets us ramp into Sera or end a game by playing Surfer and Absorbing Man for a big power spike.
Galacta means you aren’t reliant on Sera, as her interplay with Brood and Sebastian Shaw in particular can make unthreatening lanes be huge without warning. And, of course, Surfer can fit tech for the occasion. Now, with Thanos everywhere, Killmonger is amazing. Red Guardian still solves a ton of problems. Silver Surfer is not just the #1 deck on the Infinite Leaderboard; it might be the number 1 deck in all of Snap.
