Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.

Nightmare got several secret buffs int he OTA to go with his obvious one – going from 3/-1 to 3/1. +2 Power is a lot for almost any card and considering the hoops we had to go through to play Nightmare before, this is an expecially strong +2 power. The other benefit to Nightmare is the nerf to the control decks in the form of Fenris Wolf and Cannonball getting weaker. Both cards were really tough on big pint decks, and with both taking a hit, it’s finally Nightmare’s time to shine.
Galactus First Steps, meanwhile, is the best 6-Cost card in Marvel Snap. He gets Infinaut sized in the decks he goes in and is a constant pressure on the board, whether or not he’s played. The first week, it was thought he would need a buff like Captain Carter, but he’s really found his way. Get him.
Gregor2424 is one of my very favorite creators in Marvel Snap. He’s a joy to watch, whether he’s memeing with fun decks or crafting great originals that compete or testing our own Snap Judgments lists. His community is great and inclusive, he maintains a chill vibe in his chat. Go check him out… and check out his awesome Nightmare cook.
Gregor, right after the OTA, decided to combine the Surtur 10 and the Sauron Red Skull shells to great effect. He was able to make a deck that can just grind out points with or without Nightmare, but has insane cube equity thanks to the opponent having no idea what Nightmare can do.
Sauron or Zero alone are enough power to win here, though. Sauron can lead to Ebony Maw, Starbrand, and Red Skull being not just well-statted cards, but the best raw stats at their cost slot, bar none. Those can be protected by Armor, and the latter two, along with Cull Obsidian grow Surtur. Anything that can grow bigger? Well, power must be controlled.
A great deck in Marvel Snap is often an alchemy of just the right cards at just the right meta, and Gregor has now figured out exactly the right deck for today in Marvel Snap.
