Mary Jane is the Premium Season Pass card joining Marvel Snap for the July 2026 Season, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, the card will also be obtainable immediately through the Seasonal Series 5 Snap pack. It is a 3-Cost, 3-Power card that reads:
End of Turn: Give each of your cards that moved this turn +1 Power.

Today, let’s explore the new card strengths and, of course, the best decks to try it out in.
Season Pass cards can only be obtained through purchasing the Season Pass they are attached to when they release. At the end of their season, Season Pass cards become Series 5, and can be purchased for 6,000 Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop as part of the daily rotation. They will be also be included in the Seasonal Series 5 Snap Pack during the season following their release.
Synergies
I see Mary Jane as a worse Venus, as this one is tied to the Move synergy only. Granted, that synergy is going to be extremely powerful in the upcoming season, so I expect Mary Jane to see play one way or another.
However, there are many limits I want to point out regarding the future of this new 3-cost:
- The 3-cost slot is crowded with strong cards in the Move synergy. Human Torch, Spider-Punk, Hydra Stomper… Add Cosmo or Mercury to those for disruptive purposes, and Mary Jane has a mountain to climb in order to become a staple.
- Decks designed to buff, move and protect specific cards have historically done so much better than Move decks built around erratically going from a location to another. After all, even if you move an entire location, you only add 4 power to Hydra Stomper, or 6 to Kraven. On the other end, moving Vulture alone is 3 points, Multiple Man is at least 4, and Human Torch is as big as you managed to grow it.
- Move decks already represent some of the best in Marvel Snap when it comes to developing points. Typically, their last cards are Cosmo or Juggernaut, because they need to stop a Shang-Chi or Shadow King rather than collect even more power.
In that context, I feel like Mary Jane might be too specific to thrive. Yet, within that specific range, there are some cards I expect to be fantastic alongside the new premium season pass card :

Batroc the Leaper on turn one, followed by Silk or Sam Wilson Captain America is already a very powerful opener. Typically, that’s enough for at least one location to be under control at the end of the match.
With Mary Jane in the mix, Batroc or Silk would grow even more, but more importantly, Cap’s Shield would also represent some power, and be able to help a location as well.
Alongside those flexible packages made of multiple cards we can spread across the locations, Mary Jane is an appealing prospect. She would help her deck split those high power cards, as one would be enough to contest alongside some we used for support, rather than have to stack multiple high power cards together.
The Verdict: Should You Get Mary Jane ?
Mary Jane is limited to the Move synergy only, which is both a good and a bad thing.
It is positive as it is an excellent, often dominant synergy in Marvel Snap, so Mary Jane will find competitive decks to be tested in for sure.
It might also be an issue due to Move decks being so competitive, with many strong cards not included because 12 slots are filled in a blink. After all, Mary Jane isn’t a card you want to move, nor one able to move others. As such, she would be in the third layer of cards we consider in a move deck, fighting for the last few spots available once key cards already took theirs.
