Sleeper Decks of the Week – 9 Elsa Bloodstone Decks to Try and 1 More Huge W!

If you're tired of seeing the same Elsa Bloodstone decks over and over, PulseGlazer has brought you some interesting lists featuring the new Season Pass card (and one that doesn't)! Will one of them help you reach Infinite?

Hello everyone and welcome to Sleeper Decks of the Week! I’m Glazer of Snap Judgments: The Official Marvel Snap Zone Podcast, and in this article, I’m going to take you through all of my favorite Sleeper Decks this week. In addition to the podcast (this week’s episode discusses New Cards and the New Bloodstone Season in Snap with Interrobang and Prashaun!), I do my own daily videos where I scour the darkest corners of the net (ahem Twitter and the various Marvel Snap sites) to find the best decks in Marvel Snap before the meta notices.

Remember: Each deck title will take you to a video explanation of the deck, so don’t be shy – check them out!

9 Decks That Feature Elsa Bloodstone

We thought Loki was everywhere. We had absolutely no idea! Loki created his own archetype, but Elsa Bloodstone has gone above and beyond by not being an archetype, but fitting into nearly every archetype. While Wave would have limited a card like Elsa before, we now have a Bloodstone in every deck as people take advantage of the huge power scaling.

Deck Thoughts: Kazoo has basically never been a real archetype in the game past Series 2. Anytime it threatened to be dangerous, Killmonger and Wave would re-enter the meta and knock it right back down. Wave was taken care of by Mobius M. Mobius, so now only Killmonger is threatening this deck. But Squirrel Girl and Shanna the She-Devil allow for a late power spike that often gets around Killmonger.

The power spikes for this deck often compete with the best Move and High Evolutionary decks, as 1-cost cards get +1 from both Blue Marvel and Ka-Zar, and then the last ones played get +3 more. That’s an extra Doombot on top of their base stats.

You need Elsa Bloodstone for this and every deck in this section, but Nebula here is about as good if she’s replaced by Bast.

Remember, this deck has a play-by-play linked in the title to the section.

Deck Thoughts: It’s a little weird to give Spyro credit here – a lot of people had this deck (or one similar within a card or two), but Spyro is both the first one I saw and the one who took this to Top 15 in the game.

Kitty Pryde dropping to zero base power killed the original version of this deck, but with Elsa, Kitty can often get an extra +3 a turn, easily out-scaling the old version of the deck when it hits. Kitty with Elsa is like a Forge every turn, and both Hulkbuster and Shuri are still in the deck to really help it all payoff.

The back-up plan of Vision is at its best here, too, since he can fill a lane and get to 19 power with both Elsa and Shuri. In that case, your opponent’s Alioth is often a dead card since Vision can move to win a lane and then the other card, ideally Taskmaster, just gets played in the Vision lane.

Jeff the Baby Land Shark is in this, but totally unnecessary. Nightcrawler replaces him just fine.

Deck Thoughts: This deck looks like it just doesn’t work, but, as usual, DMoney is excellent at finding great and unknown combinations. Since there’s too little Killmonger right now, Human Torch is a game-winning card with nearly any pumps. Thankfully, Torch is really easy to buff with Elsa, is movable with the other two one drops, and has multiple back-up plans with Dazzler and Vulture. Once this gets rolling, it goes right through opponents while they have no idea what’s happening.

Jeff the Baby Land Shark can be Cosmo or Nightcrawler.

Deck Thoughts: The best player in the game may (unsurprisingly) have the best Elsa Bloodstone deck, and, even more unsurprising, it may just be a regular old Bounce deck.

In this deck, Elsa Bloodstone often triggers five or six times. Bast with Mysterio and Elsa is 18 power, and that’s without even really considering the power of Hit Monkey, triggering Angela, or boosting Bishop. The deck can also go taller than nearly everything else thanks to Iron Man and the [1/6] Demon, and it’s very easy to get two Demons… there’s a lot to like here. This deck just puts out more power than nearly anything.

But it does make a trade. It cut Mobius M. Mobius, so anyone still running Wave can rock you. Wave is being forced out by Mobius’s omnipresence, but still, it’s a risk.

You need Kitty Pryde and Hit Monkey (and Elsa) right now for Bounce. There’s not really a way around that.

Deck Thoughts: Speaking of phenomenal Marvel Snap players, deck builders, and people, it’s a W deck!

Darkhawk has fallen out of favor after the rise of Mobius M. Mobius basically kicked Zabu out of the meta. Apparently, no one told W, so he put the card in a deck with the Hit Monkey Bounce package. That means Darkhawk is usually a play on Turn 4 or Turn 5, and with the decline of Shang-Chi, that’s not the death sentence it once was. Instead, it’s just great on rate stats and some disruption from the Rocks. The endgame of Hit Monkey and Mysterio puts this over the top.

Bast is the secret sauce here as much as Elsa, as Darkhawk, Iron Man, Angela, and Mysterio are all busted when they get pumped. Jeff the Baby Land Shark isn’t needed here, by the way, and it could pretty easily be Nightcrawler (especially if, for example, you had some Weekend Missions to do).

You know the drill – turn by turn in the link above.

Deck Thoughts: Swen was the #1 player for a while last season, and he hit Infinite at #4 with this unbelievably fun deck. I decided to try it out and literally could not bring myself to play anything else for long. This was just so fun and powerful!

Loki is obviously one of the strongest cards in all of Snap, but adding Falcon to pump The Collector makes sure that your hand is full, and, worst case, lets you replay all your 1-cost cards. When you don’t play Loki, Elsa with Angela, Bishop, and The Collector still wins. I just cannot find something more fun – especially since it plays previously garbage cards like Maria Hill and Snowguard.

If you need to replace cards, Snowguard can be Agent Coulson (although that’s a major loss), and Mobius can be Nightcrawler or Hawkeye. I wouldn’t change Elsa or Kitty, though.

Deck Thoughts: Combat is so freaking underrated. He just brews up amazing decks constantly, and he should be more known for it. This one has been dominant for me and has taken quite a few people to Infinite.

The basis is obviously Elsa Bloodstone in a Move shell. The cards in that deck are already either high power for their cost (Spider-Man, Silk) or scaling (Kitty Pryde, Angela, Kraven), so adding another pure efficiency card in Elsa gets you ahead. Once you’re ahead, Alioth is one of the best cards ever at slamming the door. Wave and Mobius M. Mobius can help lock the game up to ensure nothing gets past Alioth.

The spice here is Spider-Man 2099 with Ghost-Spider. The targeted removal and good stats on Turns 4 and 5 really help the deck sing. The former often represents over ten power while disrupting the opponent’s game plan by killing cards like Elsa and Angela when they’re the only revealed cards at their location.

You’ll need Spider-Man 2099 for this version of the deck, but Ghost-Spider can be Iron Fist. Jeff the Baby Land Shark can be Nightcrawler, and recent versions of the deck have cut Wave for Shadow King.

Deck Thoughts: This has still been my most successful Bounce deck, and its the result of theorycrafting with the Lamby shell.

I figured Elsa Bloodstone could take Jeff’s slot since he’s always been good rather than great, and with Mobius everywhere, Iceman is often dead. With that the case, Nightcrawler was a clean answer to locations I couldn’t get to since I didn’t want another 1-Cost. Iron Man felt awkward then, so I decided to lean further into Hit Monkey with Wasp. Wasp ended up being great since she was a 3-Power card with Bast and often let me fill locations I otherwise couldn’t, which represented another three power.

Kitty Pryde is needed, as are Elsa and Hit Monkey. Mobius M. Mobius could perhaps be Falcon, at which point Nightcrawler becomes The Hood, and we’re back to Lamby’s version.

For turn-by-turn, again, check the video.

Deck Thoughts: Unfortunately, the addition of Elsa Bloodstone to this deck took out the always super fun Heimdall from the video, but Elsa is just so very strong.

This deck abuses her simply with Move. Fill a spot with Elsa and Move cards, then move them over to Kraven. Build up an absolute ton of power before slamming the door with Wave into Alioth or Aero.

As usual, you need Silk and Kitty Pryde. Jeff the Baby Land Shark is important here, but Cloak is a decent replacement.

Deck Thoughts: Our second appearance of W this week, and the only non-Elsa Bloodstone deck. That may be a problem going forward with Elsa; nevertheless, here we are. Back to the deck at hand.

This is a legitimate top tier deck. While everyone last week went crazy for Crossbones (that wasn’t a dream, right?), W went for Drax and Nebula. With Nebula and Storm insisting opponents play in specific spots, the Guardians cards are almost always at their ahead-of-rate stats. Once you’re ahead, again, Alioth is key.

The other power here is going wide. Mister Fantastic, Klaw, and Doctor Doom combine for exceptional reach. That helps with Flooded lanes and unreachable locations, but it also wins priority and makes calculating the total power of lanes difficult for opponents.

Try this deck. It’s legitimately absolutely great.

Jeff the Baby Land Shark can be Nightcrawler. I’m not sure how necessary Mobius M. Mobius is now, so perhaps Lizard would be fine. You really want Nebula here, and Iron Lad is great. You can try Jubilee without it.
