MODOK Is Secretly A Ramp Card

Howdy folks, friendly neighbourhood HowlingMines back again!

If you missed it, I got up really early to play with MODOK as soon as he released, and I had a really great time! The card is fun, felt very well balanced, and has plenty of different decklists to explore in the near future! If you’re interested in the Full Stream Vod, you can also find that here

But during that stream, we played a very sweet list given to me from a viewer, that I believe was originally but together by Jeff Hoogland – a Ramp shell looking to use MODOK as a backup win condition.

Eager to find decks that aren’t just Discard decks for the card, I was happy to play it – and was pleasantly surprised! So I made a little video to cover it today!

This list really felt like it covered some of the shortcomings of both archetypes, giving you ways to still win games where you don’t draw Hela, or walk into a timely Cosmo – but also win games where stats just aren’t enough!
