We aren’t in the competitive period for Conquest yet, so it could be easy to dismiss what happened this week. However, with an OTA just a few days ago, many players have used Conquest to test their ideas, which means Conquest could be where the next meta-breaking deck is currently being refined. Has such a deck been found? Probably not. Still, there are a few interesting archetypes to take a look at that didn’t appear in the Ranked report.

Marvel Snap Conquest Overview
Just like in the Ranked meta, strong standalone cards have taken over now that the dominant and difficult-to-counter synergies have been nerfed. Bullseye Discard and Mister Negative are the exceptions, but I’m sure decks based on standalone cards can easily run Mobius M. Mobius if either becomes a problem down the line.
The best pick at the moment seems to be a deck with a lot of strong cards and a few high rolls worthy of a Snap. The typical Wiccan, Iron Patriot, and Galacta will of course be in the mix. But, with Arishem being unexpectedly super popular, Agamotto as the Season Pass card, and a recently buffed Thanos, Cassandra Nova and Gorgon have been great additions to any deck.
It is all about building something as strong and flexible as possible without giving your opponent great abilities to leverage against you. You can’t avoid them all, obviously, but try to avoid being too weak to the more popular ones. Otherwise, you could end up like Arishem—a great deck when it comes to raw power, but currently navigating in an ocean of annoying cards.

Trending
Performance: 80% Win Rate / 20 Games
Arishem is the first archetype that comes to mind for Eson, but Iron Hand might actually be where the card is at its best (when the stars align). Indeed, Wiccan gives the deck the extra energy it needs to get Eson out on Turn 5, which is backed up by Blink if need be. You can also control the cards you create, and you should find Eson much more often than with an Arishem deck.
In a Conquest game what rewards whoever can control the Snaps, this deck feels tailor-made to thrive. It’s both scary to face due to possible high rolls and relatively safe Snaps.
Performance: 80% Win Rate / 40 Games
Absent from the Ranked report, Small Good Cards is apparently putting on a clinic in Conquest. Just like Silver Surfer in the other mode, this is an archetype with a proven track record that anyone can go back when they’re lost in a new meta.
We’ll see if Small Good Cards sticks around, but it is at least a safe pick early after the OTA.
Tier 1
Good Cards Control
Performance: 69% Win Rate / 260 Games
I’m no meta expert, but when a deck ranks first in both modes it is usually the sign of a dominant build. We all knew that great standalones are a reliable foundation for a deck shortly after a balance update. The challenge is usually finding how to surround those cards so you can just slam them whenever drawn.
At the moment, it seems like a mix of flexibility and counter cards is the way to go. But don’t get fooled: the stars here are the flurry of Season Pass cards (Iron Patriot, Sam Wilson, Galacta, Zabu, Nebula, and Agamotto), as well as the cards we have seen perform in a variety of decks since their release (
The archetype is called “Good Cards” for a reason.
Potential Additions
Shang-Chi can replace Captain Marvel for more reactiveness, while Nebula wasn’t part of the build in the Ranked mode. She is often replaced with Juggernaut, Red Guardian or another strong 3-Cost.
Mister Negative
Performance: 65% Win Rate / 220 Games
This is a free win if you are running Mobius M. Mobius in your deck, but it’s otherwise a nightmare to go against. Indeed, once you show you’re wiling to Retreat against their Snap, they can start bluffing and force you to play high stake matches.
Typically, seeing Mister Negative this high in the rankings means its immediate counters are not around, but it is a cycle. They’ll come back if the deck becomes too popular.
Potential Additions
Ironheart can replace a missing Cassandra Nova or Sage. Otherwise, Shang-Chi, Knull, and Arnim Zola are a trio you can explore in the deck.
Bullseye Discard
Performance: 65% Win Rate / 225 Games
These are the same twelve cards as in the Ranked mode, and with very similar results as well. Bullseye Discard is obviously a good archetype, and it’s especially reliable when everyone else is still trying to find their groove. The important question is whether the archetype can keep this performance up, or if it will start losing momentum once the other archetypes also find their perfect twelve.
Potential Additions
Gambit can replace a missing Grand Master or Frigga.
Tier 2
Ronan Darkhawk
Performance: 60% Win Rate / 120 Games
If you have personal beef with Arishem, this is definitely the archetype you want to consider. However, I would probably recommend it for the Ranked mode where you can just Snap Arishem on sight while playing cautious against the rest.
Sure, you will bully an Arishem player into reconsidering their deck choice in Conquest. However, the other match ups can be much trickier to beat when Spider-Ham doesn’t snipe their key card, or if you don’t find all your points cards during a round.
Potential Additions
Nico Minoru, Spider-Ham, and Grand Master are the flexible cards in the build. If you want to replace them, you need to find cards to help you stabilize your early game.
Thanos Good Cards
Performance: 61% Win Rate / 170 Games
With Arishem potentially the target of certain archetypes and Cassandra Nova being a simple inclusion in a lot of decks, Thanos seems to be a safer pick in Conquest.
You will still be weak to Cassandra Nova—especially with Agamotto in your deck—but the Snaps might be easier to figure out with this deck because you’ll be drawing more reliably than Arishem would.
Potential Additions
This is a Good Cards style of deck, so strong standalone cards are the most logical inclusions. Nico Minoru, Copycat, Captain America, Enchantress are cards to consider.
Arishem
Performance: 58% Win Rate / 200 Games
I don’t think a 58% Win Rate does this deck justice, but it is hard to dominate when most decks have at least one or two cards specifically against you. Cassandra Nova is easy to slot into most archetypes, and Gorgon is starting to find its way into decks with an extra slot (after Iron Patriot and Sam Wilson Captain America are in, of course).
This is a great deck, easily top tier when the environment isn’t gunning for it; unfortunately, it is all relative, not raw power.
Potential Additions
Enchantress replacing Nick Fury makes the deck more reactive and less focused on Eson. Otherwise, Loki or Quinjet can become a disruptive 3-Cost like Mobius M. Mobius, Red Guardian, or Cassandra Nova.
Shuri Sauron
Performance: 58% Win Rate / 250 Games
Second Dinner might have killed Surtur 10 Power, but there are other ways to focus on developing large cards in Marvel Snap, such as Shuri Sauron.
There is quite a lot of Shang-Chi around, so running Armor definitely feels necessary. Also, the Ongoing synergy isn’t as popular now that Doctor Doom 2099 barely exists, which makes Enchantress more of a support tool than a counter card. Still, until Shadow King comes back in the meta, Shuri Sauron probably holds the best points potential when focused solely on two lanes (baring any Mister Negative shenanigans).
Potential Additions
Vision is the flexible card, replaceable with Grand Master to play alongside Starbrand on Turn 5 and trigger Shuri a second time on Turn 6.
Tier 3
Hela
Performance: 56% Win Rate / 250 Games
The downfall we saw in the Ranked report was true in Conquest as well. Hela is back to being a gimmick deck that is able to develop a ton of points, but on average it’s not good enough to dominate once the opponent knows what they are up against. Hela can probably still find some success, but the pilot better be a great bluffer to steal some cubes on the back of scared opponents.
Destroy
Performance: 55% Win Rate / 65 Games
Destroy is one of those archetypes that tends to pop off after each balance patch because it’s a comfort synergy that players can go back to. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the deck will shine in this meta because there aren’t many 1-Costs to destroy with Killmonger, but there is quite a lot of Shang-Chi and Enchantress to get rid of your bigger cards.
Firehair is just around the corner, though, so don’t sleep on Destroy this coming week.

Disclaimer and Tier Explanations
In order to be featured here, a deck needs to hold a Win Rate above the 50% threshold over more than a hundred Conquest games. Games in the Proving Grounds are never taken into account, but games in the Silver League are weighted depending on how much data is available for the Gold League. The Infinity League is open during the last week of each season, so that will be the focus of the report during that time.
In order to create this chart, den is using data from our Marvel Snap Tracker, as well as other available data online and his own expertise and opinion of respected players. If a deck showed great performances with a very limited presence in the meta, you can find it in the Silent Performers section. That section highlights decks with an excellent Win Rate, but too little of a sample size to be representative of their real strength.
Decks not good enough to be considered contenders but with a good representation will be ranked in Tier 3 in our chart. See those builds as decks that are good to know about, as you should face them when playing Marvel Snap. However, unless the meta changes or a new variation of the build emerges, these decks are a notch below the dominant ones in Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Silent Performer: Decks with a very little presence in the meta that still showcase a Cube Average and Win Rate worthy of a Tier 2 deck (or better). Oftentimes, these can be archetypes with some nice game play that have been left unchecked in the current environment, or decks on the rise that found a few good match ups to abuse.
Tier 1: Tier 1 represents decks with all the upsides we would be looking for to run the gauntlet. They have good match ups in the current meta, offer different play patterns during a match, and often have the ability for explosive or surprising turns. These should be decks worth investing into in order to climb for the coming week.
Win Rate > 65%
Tier 2: Tier 2 are very good decks but with a weakness holding them back – either not being as reliable in its draws as Tier 1 decks, countered by another popular deck, or still being a work in progress as you read this. A good pilot could probably take these and have the same results as with a Tier 1 deck, but their play patterns are more difficult to enact compared to the tier above.
Win Rate > 58%
Tier 3: This tier is made of decks that have a pervasive issue compared to Tier 1 or Tier 2 decks. Usually, Tier 3 will be a mix of decks on the rise that don’t have much data, old archetypes on the decline, decks that require substantial experience and/or knowledge to pilot properly, powerful decks that aren’t well positioned, or niche decks.
Win Rate > 55%
Budget: Decks that consist only of cards in Pool 1 and 2 that are still capable of competing with an experienced pilot in a similar Collection Level, Rank, and MMR range. See our matchmaking guide for more details.
