Thaddeus Ross has been quite disappointing so far. It’s mostly been carried by strong decks rather than improving them. If you got the card, there are some good decks you can use to complete the missions. If you haven’t yet, the extra Collector’s Tokens don’t really make it worthwhile, especially with Adam Warlock‘s buff.
As for Sam Wilson Captain America, the card is keeping the Season Pass tradition alive by being featured in a large amount of decks and posting good results. At the top level, there is more of Scream around to counter it, but I foresee no problems with completing the missions, nor with using Sam Wilson Captain America to get some climbing done.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 500 Power’s worth of Cards | 500 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Thaddeus Ross starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Sam Wilson Captain America starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Thaddeus Ross Performance

For a card that many associated with the best archetype in the game, Thaddeus Ross is quite underwhelming. In particular, what I feared in my theorycraft analysis seemed to happen: Thaddeus Ross struggles to bring many cubes home. The difference between the On Draw and On Play Cube Rate is huge, showing that the card only scares opponents away when it works as intended.
On top of that, the Win Rate doesn’t seem good enough to make up for those little gains. This means that Thaddeus Ross doesn’t look like he’s worth the resources required to get him for those who haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
There is one important thing to note, though: Thaddeus Ross is still a B tier card on Untapped with both a negative Cube Rate and Win Rate. This could indicate that the meta is balanced at the moment and no card is posting particularly great results.

Sam Wilson Captain America Performance

While the all ranks numbers from our tracker still show Sam Wilson Captain America as an incredible card, looking at the Infinite only numbers from Untapped tells a different story. In both cases, the current Season Pass card is top tier with a dominant popularity, just like most of the recent Season Pass cards. However, the main difference is that the higher level players have been adapting to it, especially with Scream to feed off Cap's Shield moving every turn.
You could say Sam Wilson Captain America is a fantastic card on your way to the Infinite rank despite loses some momentum as the ranks go up and players start adapting to it. Also, it doesn’t help that the card is included in a fourth of all decks in the game, which naturally drives the numbers towards a balanced 50%.

In true Season Pass card fashion, Sam Wilson Captain America can be played in a multitude of decks as a standalone strong card. As such, I’m only going to focus on Thaddeus Ross decks here since that card is in need of more specific builds to complete its associated mission:
