The change to Captain Carter has a lot of people buzzing, either because they love to use it in Silver Surfer, or hate to go against it in that same deck. The OTA isn’t even a day old, so it might be a little early to call anything out of line. Still, Captain Carter has retained her synergy with the likes of Thanos Ongoing while becoming an obvious piece in another strong archetype in Marvel Snap.
Strange Supreme was not included in the OTA, but could have suffered from the nerf to Sam Wilson Captain America or benefit from the buff to Rhino. So far, Sam Wilson Captain America still is part of a ton of decks, while Rhino has failed to gain much popularity. Then, it seems like the update had little impact on the new 2-cost, which is mostly riding the momentum of Thanos decks at the moment, where it became a natural fit through merging with the Infinity Stones.
Missions should be a breeze to complete if you own Thanos. Without the Mad Titan, Strange Supreme could be a little more challenging, but still more than good enough to rack up four wins.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Play 2-Cost Cards | 15 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Strange Supreme starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Captain Carter starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Strange Supreme Performance

Overall, Strange Supreme has a pretty good showing in its first days on the job. The card commands a bit of deckbuilding when played outside a Thanos deck, but the Mad Titan is so good at the moment, that synergy alone is enough to make the new 2-cost a solid card.
There is one concerning thing about Strange Supreme, which is the “On Draw” metrics being superior to the “On Play” metrics, meaning the card can often be better in hand rather than on the field. This typically indicates a card being slotted in great decks, but not necessarily contributing to their success. It would make sense considering Thanos was already a powerhouse before Strange Supreme released, so maybe the new card is boosting its stock through that specific synergy.
Apart from that, the popularity is really high, and the overall ranking (#13) is excellent, meaning Strange Supreme has immediately established itself as a metagame staple in Marvel Snap.

Captain Carter Performance

The data from after the OTA is unfortunately not available at the time we have to release this article, so let’s talk about the feeling around Captain Carter instead.
Basically, Captain Carter was in two decks before the OTA, and now joined a third one. Thanos Ongoing and Sera Control were using it up until this point. Thanos has no reason to remove it, as Captain Carter is now more flexible to use, while the lost power is easily mitigated by buffs received from Blue Marvel, Captain America or Spectrum. As for Sera Control, the lost power is a bit more important, but it also makes the deck more reliable when Zabu doesn’t show up in time. Then, it is hard to say whether that change is good or bad, let’s just call it different for now.
Last, we have Silver Surfer is naturally using the now 3-cost card, and a lot of people seem unhappy about it, calling it a “buy more of our Season Pass” kind of move. In all honestly, I definitely understand how it can feel this way, as that ability in a deck designed to buff 3-cost cards obviously was going to be good. At the moment, I don’t think it makes Silver Surfer a particularly strong deck, but it is certainly one to keep an eye on.
Naturally, Captain Carter is an improved card following this OTA.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Thanos, although in different archetypes, has been playing both cards this week, so we can probably attempt to get both Strange Supreme and Captain Carter into the same deck.
It can’t be Thanos Ongoing as Strange Supreme would merge with the Infinity Stones and remove Ongoing card from our board. Then, we have to look at Thanos Control for this task.
Now, if you didn’t own the Mad Titan, here are other archetypes you can play to complete the missions for either Strange Supreme or Captain Carter this weekend.
