Silver Sable & Symbiote Spider-Man Decks & Week 1 Review: Bonus Challenge Guide

Complete the Bonus Challenge Missions efficiently using our decks, or find out how they are performing with our review and decide if you should get the card!

During the weekend, there is now one more set of Missions for players to complete: The Bonus Challenge! These involve additional rewards for winning games related to the week’s new card and the Season Pass card. These missions provide extra Collector’s Tokens, Gold, and Credits!

You need to win games with the card starting in your deck, and it does not count if the card was generated by cards such as Cable, Loki, and Maria Hill. Each of these reward amounts will vary depending on the difficulty of the mission. However, you don’t have to play the card during the course of the match for it to count, it just needs to be in your starting twelve!

There will be Bonus Challenge Missions available for each new card release to allow players to earn back Collector’s Tokens and subsidize their cost. Players can also expect the rewards to be stabilized at 200 Tokens to help them plan their token budget for the month.

The Amazing Spider-Season: Bonus Challenge – September 6, 2024

The distribution for the Bonus Challenge this season appears to be similar to the April 2024 Thunderbolts Season, and it has been confirmed by the developers that this month will be backloaded for the final two weeks. This week’s Bonus Challenge Missions are:

Mission#Reward
Play On Reveal Cards15150 Credits
Win with Silver Sable starting in your Deck4300 Collector’s Tokens
Win with Symbiote Spider-Man starting in your Deck8150 Gold

Most players will want to be efficient with these missions, so today we will give you a few different decks that incorporate all the cards featured each weekend.

We’ll also give you a short guide on how to get the most out of the decks and finish the missions quickly. First, let’s take a quick look at the new cards’ performance this week.

Symbiote Spider-Man Performance

Symbiote Spider-Man Meta Stats

There was a lot of hype surrounding the new Season Pass card, which was somewhat justified since it was the first ever Activate card to join Marvel Snap. Unfortunately, Symbiote Spider-Man quickly met its match in the Junk synergy led by Kate Bishop and White Widow (two cards that almost any deck can play). In addition, that disruptive play style got the support of Silver Sable to give it even more momentum.

Even with some tough competition to go against, Symbiote Spider-Man still managed to post decent results in various archetypes. Ironically, the card’s best performance has been in a Junk deck where you can merge with Hazmat to afflict the opponent’s card even more, growing your Ajax in the process. Otherwise, Patriot, Destroy, and even On Reveal have found some success using the Season Pass card thus far.

Is this the ceiling for Symbiote Spider-Man? Probably not, but it is the ceiling for now.

Silver Sable Performance

Silver Sable Meta Stats

Silver Sable has been pretty close to what everyone expected from the previews—not a stellar card, but still a very good card that you can play in a variety of decks. Silver Sable has already been spotted in KaZoo, Good Cards, Pure Evolutionary, Junk, and even as a standalone 1-Cost without much synergy in Patriot.

Overall, Silver Sable is a safe purchase for anyone who is looking for a solid 1-Cost card to include in their decks. She’s similar to Nico Minoru in that way. Obviously, both of those cards bring something entirely different to the table. Nico Minoru is a more flexible, high roll based card, and, even though Silver Sable won’t ever be bad, she also won’t ever change a location for the win like Nico Minoru can.

Apart from Phoenix Force, both Patriot and On Reveal are using Silver Sable currently if you fancy completing the missions for both cards at the same time. If you didn’t get Silver Sable, it’s easy to swap the card in either Patriot (try Wasp, Spider-Ham, or Nightcrawler) or On Reveal (try Echo or Ravonna Renslayer).

For all three decks above, the main concern should be your own development, which means you don’t have to worry about too many elements in order to play them effectively. If you’re worried about losing cubes while completing your missions, these decks are pretty straight-forward when it comes to the Snaps and Retreats. As such, the losses shouldn’t cost you too much and there are plenty of opportunities for early Snaps when you draw a great hand.

Silver Sable has the huge upside of being playable in almost any deck in the game (as long as you aren’t playing a super synergistic deck). The new 1-Cost is even included in some of the decks for Symbiote Spider-Man above, so there are plenty of diverse options for you to choose from.

If you want to get the missions done quickly, however, some variation of the Junk archetype seems to be your best pick, as that is where Silver Sable has posted the best results so far.
Plus, Junk is a fantastic archetype to get some quick wins; clogging your opponents will often result in an early Retreat and another win in the bank for your mission count.

Closing Thoughts

This week, both cards seem more than good enough to complete their associated missions with ease. Symbiote Spider-Man pushes for more synergistic options that are prone to counter cards, so completing the missions with him might be a little more frustrating if you run into a bad streak of opponents who are able to disrupt your strategy. On the other hand, Silver Sable should be a walk in the park since you can basically choose whatever deck you want to complete the missions. The card is so versatile, in fact, that you can easily slot it into your Symbiote Spider-Man deck to complete both missions at once.

Hopefully this guide helps you decide if you want the card prior to the missions coming out, as well as what you can play to complete the missions quickly!

Good Game Everyone.
