Hello everyone and welcome to Best Marvel Snap Decks of the Week! I’m Glazer of Snap Judgments: The Official Marvel Snap Zone Podcast, and in this article, I’m going to take you through all of my favorite decks this week. In addition to the podcast, I do my own daily videos where I scour the darkest corners of the internet (ahem X and the various Marvel Snap sites) to find the best decks in Marvel Snap before the meta notices.

Remember: Each deck title will take you to a video explanation of the deck, so don’t be shy – check them out!

Arishem Gets KO’d

A week ago, Arishem was all over this list. This week, however, Cassandra Nova finally created a tipping point where the counter decks have overrun the meta. Let’s take a look at all the new decks that are dominating right now and killing Arishem‘s play rate.

Deck Thoughts

Shang-Chi has become a force in the Marvel Snap meta once more, both in and against Arishem decks, and one of the other main ways to beat Ramp has been to go as tall as possible. Because of this, Barzy returned to this Little Movers deck, a descendant of Silky Smooth without the namesake card, since it can effectively both run Shang-Chi and remain protected against it.

Thena‘s scaling is going to be all over today’s video, and here, in Move, it is among the most powerful effects in the game. It makes one lane extremely strong, but when Thena gets countered your cards can just reposition your power to where they win. Two other key cards here are Gwenpool and Captain Marvel; the latter is an awesome card, especially when Gwenpool gives it more than five power. Juggernaut and Shang-Chi are your closers for this top-notch deck.

Without Thena, you can try Havok or Elsa Bloodstone (who could also replace Hope Summers, as could Hydra Bob). Copycat or Jeff can be Nocturne, but that’s a high series replacement. This deck is just really tight.

Deck Thoughts

No one has claimed authorship of this deck yet. I found it on Untapped using some unusual filters about two weeks ago, and since then it’s being played by people such as Woody, and no less than Dekkster took it into Conquerors.

This deck slaps. Like the previous deck, it combines the powerful Thena package (Angela, Thena, and Kitty Pryde) with the explosiveness of Gwenpool. Now, though, the deck is trying to explode with power at the end of the game. An ideal curve here is absolutely bonkers, as Gwenpool leading into a Mysterio, Jeff, Kitty is enough to play Mockingbird, Sasquatch, AND either Shang-Chi or Juggernaut. Heck, missing one of the Turn 5 plays that isn’t Mysterio still lets you play Sasquatch OR Mockingbird with Shang-Chi/Juggernaut and Kitty Pryde. The opponent has no way to know how much power and how many cards you’re going to drop, so the wins roll in.

Jeff can be any good 2-Cost here from Medusa to Quake. Mobius M. Mobius and Nocturne are general good stuff 3-Cost cards, so to replace them we’re looking at Gladiator, Polaris, Red Guardian, and Copycat (though you could also add a Nightcrawler or Hydra Bob for any of the above cards). The other cards here are required.

Deck Thoughts:

Blu3Tears, taking off from the last list, just went with even bigger power!

The list adds more power in two distinct ways: it uses Ajax+Hazmat and Elsa Bloodstone. Elsa can work as an extra Gwenpool for your Mysterio, which, again, makes the amount of power that ends up at each location wildly unpredictable. Hazmat here is meant to go with Mockingbird and Kitty Pryde on Turn 5. When that’s on top of a Hope Summers, you can then play Mockingbird, Sasquatch, and Ajax all to end the game.

But this version adds more plays. A Mysterio on Turn 4 with one more card can lead to a Mockingbird and Sasquatch on Turn 5. That should get priority, so, as long as Hope is out, Ajax can be played with Hazmat for a crazy amount of Ajax power AND pull your 6-Cost cards out of Shang-Chi range. This deck has a million plays like that, and it’s worth checking out.

See the previous list for card replacements.

Deck Thoughts

Certain members of the community were quite upset when I pointed out that Ajax, in this exact build, would be meta the instant Arishem calmed down. Well, Cassandra Nova released, KMBest put out a video calling this the best-placed deck in the game, its Win Rate settled into the Top 5 of Infinite, and suddenly the complaints stopped.

This deck is fantastic. It’s the current go-to Bounce list, and it builds power with multiple Demons, multiple Rocket Raccoon triggers, and, naturally, Werewolf By Night. The Little Movers deck at the top removed the power from clog, and Werewolf immediately became a top card again in this shell and the Darkhawk one.

As for Ajax, he’s a part of an end-game power combo. You drop him on Turn 5—there are no tricks here. Just follow him up with either Hazmat and some cards to move Werewolf or Hazmat and Shang-Chi. It’s not easy to play, but it’s the best Win Rate that Bounce has had in ages.

Nico Minoru here can be a good 1-Cost like Iceman. White Widow can be Jeff or Medusa. Cassandra Nova can be Sage. Werewolf and Ajax are needed, though there are Ajax-free versions that run a Darkhawk package instead.

Deck Thoughts

ItsGuestGaming got Cassandra Nova in mere hours with this deck, and when I featured it a day later I was inundated with messages from those who did the same.

This list is about end-game power. Whether through Sera or Magik, it’s trying to set up a combination where Darkhawk or Ajax is copied by Mystique to create two huge, lane-winning cards. Sage with Absorbing Man is also absurdly powerful enough to end the game. There’s a lot to like here, and the early turns are simple setups of putting different power in lanes and Rocks in the opponent’s deck and on their board.

White Widow is the one replaceable card here, and she can be Jeff or Medusa.

Deck Thoughts

Top 5 player YoWoodyMJ had his birthday stream where he cooked up multiple great builds, and this one might be the best.

This deck is absurdly simple. Early on, you build power while giving the opponents Rocks. Thena and Angela are your power package while Korg and Rockslide provide said Rocks. Cassandra Nova gets a little bigger with the Rocks and a little better with Ravonna Renslayer, as do Iron Man, Mystique, and Thena. On Turn 5, play Iron Man or Darkhawk -> copy with Mystique on Turn 6 -> use Juggernaut to protect yourself -> gain cubes. If Arishem is popular, this is the best deck in the game.

Nocturne is the swing card here and she can be Jeff, Copycat, or Polaris.

Deck Thoughts

While we’re on the subject of Woody, he also built this Loki list during his stream.

Loki is very well placed—with the glut of new 3-Costs, Mobius M. Mobius is being cut more and more, and almost every deck above this one is a mid-range deck that Loki can feast on. This deck keeps its Mobius to answer Mockingbird nonsense while also featuring Darkhawk and Cassandra Nova for an easy Arishem match. The rest is tech like Juggernaut and Cosmo, as well as a bit of beef with the Devil Dinosaur.

Mobius, Jeff, and Cassandra Nova are general cards here. Nocturne, Red Guardian, Rogue, Shang-Chi—all those and more are viable replacements. Without Snowguard, run Maria Hill.

Deck Thoughts

Amidst all of this, Shuri Enjoyer brought back SafetyBlade’s StatureHawk. Around June 2023 (with the previous version of Zabu), this was the best deck in the game, but it hasn’t existed again until now.

This list is, very simply, about cheap power. Silk allows for a [1/6] Miles Morales, and Black Bolt is disruption that gives access to a [1/7] Stature. The location of the power is unpredictable, as the Movers and cheap cards can come out whenever to swing a board. And when those can’t win, Shang-Chi and Enchantress surely can.

Nocturne, White Widow, or Jeff can be Nightcrawler or Kraven. Black Widow may or may not be better as Rockslide. This is otherwise pretty cheap.

Deck Thoughts

Speaking of old decks that are back, we have Derek bringing Dracula Dump back to the meta.

This one is all about crazy, unpredictable power. Gwenpool on Turn 4 into Black Swan on Turn 5 allows all your 1-dropss to be played with either Red Hulk or Dracula for absolutely crazy late power. The name of the game right now is unpredictable late-game power, and few decks do that as well as Dracula Dump decks. Sunspot and Goose are the secret sauce here. Sunspot early is often pretty huge by the end of the game, and a Goose, whether on Turn 2 or Turn 5 (depending on the opponent), can be an easy lane win, which allows you to place your Strong Guy perfectly.

Hydra Bob can be Martyr, but Black Swan, Gwenpool, and Red Hulk are required.
