Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
PulseGlazer
The High Evolutionary Ajax list, originally cooked up by Coougarrr was a novel deck, but over months has gone from a shock cube stealer to a meta also-ran. Coougarrr was not ready to give up on it though, and through the addition of Werewolf by Night and Wasp, has brought it back to prominence. He’s up 300sp to the Top 30 in the world with this new version.
Werewolf by Night is a natural in this deck. He moves around to enable Miles Morales, and he’s big scaling power you get early just by virtue of playing the game, and thus excellent support for the standard Hazmat on turn 5, Ajax, Abomination, and Miles on turn 6. Adding that 30+ power endgame to a big Werewolf is very hard to beat.
To support Werewolf, Merlin and Kate Bishop are added to the deck. Both give access to cheap On Reveal cards to move Werewolf while also providing filler cards along the curve. Merlin, especially, helps move Werewolf without clogging you.
Laufey is a backup Ajax and a backup Hazmat. The goal is to use it on turn 5 in order to give negative power to cheapen Abomination and buff Ajax when there’s no Hazmat or to be played on turn 6 as a big card when you didn’t draw Ajax. When you have both, he’s a powerful play on 4.
Wasp is here for numerous reasons, and really pulls the deck together. She’s an extra afflict for when you’re using Laufey instead of Hazmat, giving you a potentially free Abomination. She can move around Werewolf by Night for free, especially useful on turn 6. She’s great to put in deck or make a 1-cost with Merlin, and likewise great to make a Demon or use to draw 2. She makes all the other stuff work – top notch card in this deck!

- Turn 1: Pass
- Turn 2: Merlin > Kate
- Turn 3: Werewolf > Rocket and Groot
- Turn 4: Laufey or earlier plays. Evo is kinda fine.
- Turn 5: Hazmat and anything you can.
- Turn 6: Ajax, Miles, Abomination
