Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
Bounce has almost entirely disappeared from the metagame. Once the very best deck, numerous nerfs and power creep to the rest of the game had left bounce a mid-tier deck, at best. With the rise of Strange Supreme in Thanos and, thanks to HeartoftheCards, Surfer is rising as a major Thanos killer, #1 ranked player Derek found a hole in the meta to bring bounce back.
The simplest thing can do in bounce that makes it viable right now is to be a Shadow King deck. Outside of a few rare ongoing shells, Shadow King absolutely smokes at least one major piece of nearly every deck. Taking out Strange Supreme, Ajax, or a Brood lane is not only a way to win games in Snap, but a way to win major cubes.
The other power bounce has always had that’s important now is that it can reposition power thanks to the bounce cards. End game, thanks to a combination of Beast, Surge, and Black Swan, can just be 30+ power all over the board thanks to Demons, Rocket Raccoon, and Hit-Monkey. That power package being in an unpredictable place on the last turn is another way to win extra cubes.
And the best card in the deck may be Werewolf by Night. If you get the bounce going, Werewolf is often playing for 17-21 Power. In this deck, for the first time in the current meta, it finally feels big enough to be worth the trouble. It’s a lane winner – I’ve beat Iron Man lanes with it – and you can move it 3-5 times on just the last turn. It’s a beast once you get good with using it.
