Good morning all! I’m back at Marvel Snap Zone with a deck of the day: a top deck for you to try out! My aim for this article is to get you in and out quickly and give you something new to play every day along with the tools to do well with it. Check out the video for a verbal explanation of this and three other new decks.
Our friend, Elephant Fudge created this shell, built around using Merlin and Kate Bishop to generated cards in hand in concert with Kahhori as a powerful package. I took this deck into the 90s and rolled through with a 66% win rate despite minimal bot opposition (I faced 3, won 8, lost 8, won 4). This is a tempo deck that plays off scaling, unpredictable power amounts to get extra cubes.
Scaling and unpredictable power combine with discounts to put this deck over the top. Galacta and Gwenpool, along with the aforementioned Kahhori are the clear engines of this, but you can also scale up power with Collector and Bishop, while Surge messes with power and lowers cost, as does Zabu. When both come out and 4s cost 2, this deck feels overpowered.
Merlin really ties this deck together, allowing Kahhori and Collector to be powerful cards while also turning weaker cards to more powerful ones, scaling up Merlin and taking care of negative locations, and finding extra energy. He’s such a great card and fits in so many decks, providing a vital role to each and every one.
