Maverick quickly found a spot in the metagame, immediately becoming a staple in a variety of buff oriented decks. At the moment, none of those decks has become dominant, or even particularly popular. Still, the new 3-cost is enjoying a good first week after its release, and the OTA designed to level the playing field should help, buff decks typically doing well in diverse metagames.
Weapon X Wolverine received an indirect buff in the OTA, with Wade Wilson now granting +2-power. Unfortunately, this change doesn’t seem to have affected the season pass card at all. Indeed, Weapon X Wolverine is now limited to one archetype only: Destroy zoo, and that deck isn’t running the 2-cost for some reason.
Unless the metagame starts featuring a lot of 1-costs, or plenty of targets for Lady Deathstrike, it is safe to assume Weapon X Wolverine card will keep having little to no impact on its featured season.
| Mission | # | Reward |

| Win with Maverick starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Weapon X Wolverine starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Weapon H

Maverick is having a positive, yet limited impact on the archetypes including the new 3-cost. Except for the win rate in the Infinite ranks, which is to be expected for rather unflexible decks, all the other metrics are in the green. However, no metrics is pointing to a dominant card.
Overall, Maverick looks to be a reliable card, worth including in a variety of buff oriented builds. The main upside to the card is to be able to transfer its buffs when hit by a Gwenpool or America Chavez. Several decks want this card in the mix, although one should not expect the new 3-cost to change how to play your deck.

Weapon X Wolverine Performance

Weapon X Wolverine keeps being a solid card in the global picture, just like Destroy has always been a good synergy to rely on. However, I was expecting the buff to Wade Wilson to have some impact on the season pass card, something the post-OTA data doesn’t seem to indicate. Indeed, the numbers are actually worse in Infinite compared to last week, with Weapon X Wolverine being played less, and the win rate being 1% lower.
This OTA probably was the card’s last chance to have an impact on its season. Now, unless a direct buff to the card, such as being worded like Morbius, it is safe to say Weapon X Wolverine is slowly going to disappear.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Weapon X Wolverine only has one archetype at the moment, one which didn’t switch for Wade Wilson following the OTA, meaning it isn’t benefiting from the sole buff Destroy received.
Angel and Uncle Ben can be swapped for X-23 and Wolverine, depending if you want to build your deck for reliability or potential.
Maverick is played in many more decks, so completing its associated missions shouldn’t be too difficult. Three archetypes are posting solid numbers post-OTA : Silver Sufer, Zombie Galacti and a Destroy based disruptive build.
