Another bundle for Gold with mediocre value has become available. No surprises here – it isn’t very good, at least for the vast majority of players (more on that later). For an explanation of why, see the analysis below.
Guide
First of all, the price of 4,000 Gold isn’t small – that’s how much a F2P player typically earns over two entire 4-week seasons. And what are we offered for waiting two months? 5,000 Credits, which you would get anyway from the shop by purchasing Credits or refreshing missions, and some cosmetics in the form of a variant and an avatar, which you might like (or not).
Thus, the Progress Value of this bundle is 100% or 0% additional value, except for the variant, which will give you a discount of 25 Credits when upgrading and which you can use in other ways (more on this below).
And again, I’m puzzled why Second Dinner didn’t just add at least a hundred or a few hundred Credits here to make the bundle’s value slightly above the baseline. It’s a very strange decision that completely undermines the purpose of bundles as a way to spend currency more advantageously.
Comparison With Other Bundles
When compared to all bundles for Gold over the past 3 months, it’s clear that this bundle, amidst the series of value deteriorations, consistently falls short of the others, being quite expensive and offering 0% additional value.
However, if we look at the bundle in the context of the price range, it becomes apparent that it sits in a trough within the graph, suggesting that a bundle with good value at the same price might be expected around 2 months from now. This pattern is interesting, though it doesn’t mean anything definitive. Ignoring this, the bundle is simply significantly below average.
The value of Credits for Gold is, of course, 1.25. As seen in the graph below, there are quite a few bundles that contain only Credits, but they generally offer them at a better rate than in the shop. Therefore, we observe a scenario where, in terms of pure Credit value for Gold, the bundle ranks high, but its actual value isn’t that great.
Thus, when seeking an answer to the question, you should understand whether you want to get the variant, because you can already get Credits for Gold at this rate. Additionally, you need to consider the card itself.
The Usefulness Of The Variant In The Meta
She-Hulk is a Series 3 card, which means those who don’t have it can use it as an alternative to the basic card in their decks. And this is a very useful card, which appears in strong and cheap archetypes such as Shuri and InSheNaut. This means that newcomers, in addition to the basic value of Credits, gain access to a powerful card.
Veterans, on the other hand, will simply get a variant for a card that they can frequently use in their games. And for them, the range of using She-Hulk is even broader, for example in decks with Fhastos or Arishem. However, below are a couple of decks specifically for new players.
Conclusion
Thus, the Law & Disorder bundle is very bad for those who don’t expect to get additional value by gaining early access to She-Hulk. In this context, spending 4,000 Gold with 0% additional value is a poor decision.
On the other hand, if you are going to buy the bundle for access to She-Hulk, then in such a special case, the Progress Value specifically for you will be around 133%, assuming you would get She-Hulk for 1,000 Collector’s Tokens in the shop as a random Series 3 card. But keep in mind that this isn’t a completely fair and accurate way to evaluate a Series 3 card, but it’s essentially the only method that implies earlier card acquisition, excluding the CL track.
Thus, the basic evaluation of the bundle for the vast majority of players is 1 star. However, if you’ve been waiting for She-Hulk to include in your deck, don’t hesitate; it’s worth it.
