The OTA Balance Update looked like it wanted to tone down the power of Good Cards and the End of Turn synergy, but absolutely no effect has been observed up to this point. Indeed, the End of Turn synergy, actually added a deck to its collection, with Doctor Doom 2099 and High Evolutionary now being joined by the Small Good Cards crew. Thena and Havok lead the way for this new brew, with the now [1/5] Black Cat also part of the mix.
In other news, Sunspot as a [1/0] seems to still be good enough to be included in that synergy, at least according to the best performing decks one day after the OTA. Then, you will find the 1-cost in all three End of Turn decks featured decks to complete the missions.
Both cards are great. Both cards a designed to work with each other. Both cards might rule the metagame to close the Fantastic 4 season.
| Mission | # | Reward |

| Win with Invisible Woman First Steps starting in your Deck | 4 | 300 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Mister Fantastic First Steps starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Invisible Woman First Steps Performance

The new 3-cost is off to a fantastic start at all levels. Indeed, the card has solid numbers across the board, with two telling me it is considered a menace already. First, we have the 1.2% improvement if we compare the win rate on draw and the one on play. This shows Invisible Woman First Steps makes her deck better when hits the board. Then, we also have the big drop in Cube Average when the card is played, from 1.52 to 0.33. It could be regarded as a bad thing, but I see it as “Invisible Woman First Steps is scary, and opponents already retreat as they respect the card”.
Then, if we look at the Infinite Ranks only, we see the card has been quite popular since her release, once again showing the trust the community had in her power.
Great card right out of the gate.

Mister Fantastic First Steps Performance

Balance updates are supposed to impact the game’s environment, or at least our perception of it. Yet, although we are very close to the OTA, it seems most players perception has not changed : Mister Fantastic First Steps in every deck is still the norm.
We could crunch the numbers and dive into a deep analysis, but it is really not necessary : 60% Popularity in the infinite rank tells us everything we need to know.

For yet another week, Mister Fantastic First Steps can be played in any deck you like, particularly if its wife is included. Then, let’s focus on how to complete Invisible Woman First Steps‘s missions, as you the ones related to the season pass card will take care of themselves if you own the card.
No one will be surprised if I tell you to focus on the End of Turn synergy:
Didn’t pay to get Fantasticar ? Here are a few options :
No Mister Fantastic First Steps either? The card can be swapped for another strong standalone. The current season pass is powering every deck, so not owning it means one has to find another fantastic card as a replacement in most archetypes.
