Inner Peace is the first bundle with Credits that has a Progress Value of over 100% since the Operation: Summer Break bundle, which ended a whole 140 days ago. Let’s see how good this bundle is and who should consider getting it.
Guide
For its modest price of 3,000 Gold, which can usually be earned over the course of one season, the bundle offers 4,000 Credits. This is 250 Credits more than you would get through a regular conversion in the shop, which gives the bundle a 107% Progress Value, the same as good Token Tuesdays for 1,500 Gold, when compared to purchasing missing Collector’s Tokens in the Token Shop.
It’s also worth considering that from now until the December patch, there’s an increased chance for good splits. This means that purchasing Credits at a better rate than usual automatically provides additional cosmetic value. In this case, 4,000 Credits, taking into account the contents of the CL track, will give you about 3.2 new splits, which is quite good given the current increased chances.
Comparison With Other Bundles
When looking at how the bundle performs compared to others, it’s clear that both when compared to all other bundles for Gold and within its own price range, it’s at best average. It’s evident that there have been much better bundles for this price, but almost all of them included Collector’s Tokens or Tokens plus Credits.
If you wanted to get Credits at a better rate than usual, you basically have no options other than this bundle. The charts show that such bundles are released very rarely – the last bundles with even slightly increased Credit rates were about 5 months ago, and since then, this is the first bundle that offers not 1.25 Credits per Gold, but 1.33.
If we look at the comparison chart of this bundle based on the value of new Series 5 cards for every 700 Gold (for a player with an almost complete collection) over the last 6 months, we’ll find that the Inner Peace bundle is right in the middle with a value of 0.08.
Out of curiosity, we can also look at the second chart from the bottom, which shows the same thing but over a 12-month period. It’s not surprising that the current and many recent bundles fall below average since the 1-year period still includes bundles released before the value drop in the spring of this year, so keep that in mind.
The Usefulness Of The Variant In The Meta
Although Sword Master is a Series 1 card and you won’t gain any additional value from owning this variant, it’s a quite decent card in one of the top archetypes of the current meta. Dracula Discard with Scorn performs very well, and Sword Master can serve as a good budget alternative to Corvus Glaive.
So, the Sword Master variant can definitely find its place in a Discard deck in the current meta, although it might not be for everyone.
Conclusion
Thus, the Inner Peace bundle is quite an average bundle if you look only at the numbers.
However, if you consider the context that bundles with Credits at a favorable rate are rare and that there’s currently a period of increased chance for a good split, the deal becomes slightly better than it would otherwise be.
I definitely recommend the bundle to those who are collecting splits and to those who generally want progress towards new cards, including using Spotlight Caches. For this price, it’s a worthwhile bundle, and you should only pass on it if you feel its value isn’t sufficient or if you need Collector’s Tokens. In the latter case, you have the option to simply buy two Token Tuesdays for 1,500 Gold each, and their Progress Value will be the same.
Thus, I give the bundle 3 out of 5 stars, as it’s quite good but not enough to recommend it to absolutely everyone, especially considering that bundles with Collector’s Tokens and higher Progress Value have become quite common lately.
