Fin Fang Foom is off to a decent start, sporting fine numbers across the board, be it overall or when looking at the Infinite rank specifically. Obviously, the new 7-cost isn’t on Shou-Lao the Undying’s level, but almost no card in the game is currently.
For yet another week, the season pass card easily take the title of most impactful card in Marvel Snap. In this metagame dictated by the 5-cost, simply representing a competitive option is already pretty good, and Fin Fang Foom seems to be just that, earning a spot in Hela or Ramp decks.
For the weekend challenges, both cards don’t coexist well, meaning we will have to complete them separately. However, both are part of competitive decks, so neither should be a problem to get rewards with.
| Mission | # | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Win a Location with only 1 Card | 10 | 150 Credits |
| Win with Fin Fang Foom starting in your Deck | 4 | 200 Collector’s Tokens |
| Win with Shou-Lao the Undying starting in your Deck | 8 | 150 Gold |
Fin Fang Foom

It isn’t a surprise to see the new 7-cost post better results at all ranks rather than the higher ranks, as these types of power cards typically follow that trend.
In particular, I am interested in the Win Rate on Play, jumping to 57.6% compared to the 53.4% Win Rate on Draw. This shows Fin Fang Foom is reliable as a last turn bomb to win a location.
Obviously, the card will stick to your hand when drawn early, but if it comes down to who gets the most points down the late, Fin Fang Foom looks like a solid contender.
One downside to note however, is the weak cube rate on play. This might indicate Fin Fang Foom is too predictable, allowing the opponent to adapt against it, and possibly snap as well.

Shou Lao Performance

No matter where you look at, Shou-Lao the Undying is putting on a clinic. At this point, it is safe to say the season pass card is the most impactful card in the game, either being played of targeted by those looking to climb through the ranks.
The main question is whether Second Dinner will nerf it during the season, or wait until it becomes a Series 5 card to pull the the trigger.

Bonus Challenge Decks
Shou-Lao the Undying has two main archetypes currently dominating the metagame, but there are more with competitive aspirations. As such, one can pick either the On Reveal or Activate builds if they want to get ride of the missions quickly, or give Bounce or the Skill deck a try for a more exotic strategy.
Fin Fang Foom isn’t a versatile card, so don’t expect to see a ton of decks built around the 7-cost, nor to see those feature a ton of possibilities during a game. Instead, play these to drop a lot of points, and win because your opponent simply can’t get as many in play.
